If rumors are not useful to you, or you are annoyed by the inherently speculative nature of them, why are you reading the rumors thread?

Re: Nic on Fifth - (290' - 26 Stories)
I'm very curious how the color panels on the parking ramp will turn out. I hope they don't turn out like the color panels on Mozaic.
Regardless, this is looking very nice.

Re: Star Tribune Blocks
You know, I actually agree with some of the preservationists above. In fact, lets take it one step further, we need to preserve all of the parking lots in Downtown East! These are architecturially significant and represent a great period of time in Minneapolis' history! These lots reflect Minneapoli...

Re: Nicollet Mall
I recognize this won't be a popular comment on here but.... To some extent I see her point. From an aesthetic standpoint, the current mall really doesn't look that bad (recognizing there's structural issues that need to be improved). The mall itself (sidewalk and streetscape, NOT storefronts) still ...

Re: Pillsbury "A" Mill Redevelopment
Looks like its official: http://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/blog/real_estate/2013/10/dominiums-a-mill-project-moves-forward.html Couple of quick thoughts: 1- Surprised how expensive this is 2- Surprised how many units they're squeezing in there 3- Surprised how long this will take to construct 4-...

The expanded sidewalk along here is going to go a long way to enhance the pedestrian experience in uptown. That said, there is no way I would ever live in the building. Hopefully this invested in some good soundproofing and blinds!

Re: Downtown Office Market
Since we're on this (off) topic, what the overall cleveland skyline lacks is building density. From a distance, it looks like just a couple of random buildings, somewhat near each other. Conversely, here in mpls, we have a very nice dense skyline which looks like a real city. My point, is that had t...

Pretty interesting view of uptown. Definitely demonstrates the potential for future development, especially along the south side of the greenway.

Re: North Loop Neighborhood
Its great that all of these developments are taking place, but I wish there was a greater focus on enhancing the livability of this area. There is virtually no charm in this area and walking around during the day is a truly awkward experience. The talk of a park is a nice start, but its just a start...

Re: The Pedestrianization of 29th Street
It's unfortunate that this wasn't an idea when Mozaic was built. There's essentially no pedestrian access to the Mozaic Art Park from Hennepin (no side walk, just a bus turnaround). With the the entrance to the Mall area being redeveloped, it would have been awesome to have a continuous pedestrian e...

Everyone calm down, that's not an updated rendering above. It took about two seconds and one google search to find out, but there are plans for a fourth building:

Re: Mill City Quarter - (300 South 2nd Street)
I've often found myself annoyed with the people that relentlessly complain about "more height" on this site. So at the risk of sounding like a hypocrite, I will say I really wish a tower would go up on this site. Something along the lines of a "Carlyle 2" would provide some much ...

Perhaps its just me, but does anyone else think this is a horribly ugly building? It cost a truly unique opportunity to do something special on that end of the park.

I would love to see a round about, similar to Indianapolis Monument Circle or Columbus Circle in NYC, at Portland and 4th St.
