Re: Richfield - General Topics - 66th Street

Any talks of how they plan on controlling traffic on this stretch of Penn? It is damn near impossible to make a left turn out of the Lunds parking lot to go north on Penn in the evening.

Re: Suburban Malls and Associated Retail News

It's a good location right next to the restaurants. Lots of traffic on that side of the mall, especially compared to the old Penny's side. Easy to get in and out on York.

Re: Bloomington - General Topics

I'm surprised those apartment buildings are still standing.

Also, the owner/partner, John Holtzman, was basically forced out of Village Green and took the fka Village Park Of Bloomington with him.

Groundbreaking for the the 66th/York apts will be coming by the beginning of summer. A little delayed from the 3/31 date, but not too delayed.

He willingly went along with the (illegal) Joe Smith deal. That in itself was disastrous.

Re: 50th & France - Edina/Minneapolis

The DQ on 50th/Drew apparently closed down last weekend. Sounds like the land owner(s) got a nice offer.

They have Chicago Ave all dug up right in front of the stadium. Someone screwed something up.

Re: 66th Street - Richfield

I see the Flowerama just down the road (66th/Penn) shuttered it's doors. Anyone have any information on whether they simply closed because they weren't profitable or if the property owner non-renewed them?

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

They have the markings down on the asphalt for the turf sections. You get an idea of how close the stands will be to the field.

It will be nice to finally see some green inside the stadium.

Half of the scoreboard is lit up right now. I am not sure why they are testing it that way.

BKV roof design issues. Similar to the mold problems on the 3rd and 4th floors of Calhoun Flats.

Looks like it is time for asphalt! I am not sure how long they have to wait to put the playing surface down, but we are getting close.

Re: Southdale Area Development - Edina

From what I remember, traffic has been slow for a few years. Saturdays aren't bad, and Dave & Busters has brought a little more traffic around the corner by Macy's, but levels are no where near what they were before the recession. It's just a weird setup for the Food Court and JCP. I am not sure...

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

Only 8 more sections of seats are left to be installed. That should be done by the end of the week. They still have a lot of the glass railing to put in, though.

Anyone have an idea as to when they will pour the flooring? I heard it is supposed to be some type of asphalt, not concrete.
