Re: Gateway Tower (RBC/Four Seasons) - 37 stories - 503'

It's weird that this site still has to carry its 'iconic' baggage. If this is a mediocre development, then... what is everything else that's been built in the last two decades? I mean, this will literally be the best high-rise building built in Minneapolis since at least 2007 (Carlyle), and I'd arg...

Re: Uptown General Topics & Development Map

If there is a redevelopment, I hope these retailers will be a part of the street level frontage again!
However, if someone is going to redevelop these buildings... why is that damn empty lot in front of the Calhoun Square parking ramp still not developed?!

Re: Gateway Tower (RBC/Four Seasons) - 37 stories - 503'

The porte-cochère problem is made worse by the continued intrusion of the extremely stupid streetcar easement. It was a mistake to start redevelopment of this block without first killing that really bad idea (and biting the bullet and returning the federal transit funds tied up for decades on this ...

Re: Bloomington Central Station & South Loop Development

My only regret is that the apartment buildings that were built in the last two years don’t have a ground floor retail. I’m talking about the apartments just west of American Boulevard station. With all of the new apartments build there recently, and the start of the new building, I don’t see why a ...

Re: Midtown Greenway

Perhaps the most accessible people would be City officials, given that it's entirely within city limits. Even if funding or planning eventually has to go through a higher jurisdiction, it still seems sensible to have them as vocal advocates for the project. It might even be productive, given Frey's...

Re: Midtown Greenway

See, this is my point... we need this to be a higher priority for the Met Council & Hennepin County - how do we help facilitate that? Is it waiting to see who the new Met Council Chair will be under Walz? Hortman has already said that transportation isn't a top priority as Speaker of the House. So h...

Re: Midtown Greenway

I just really want to figure out how we can get Midtown back on the radar... A lot has changed since the Lake Street/Midtown study several years ago, both politically and development-wise. At that time, a dual line plan with the aBRT B Line on Lake Street & a Midtown rail option was estimated at ~$2...

Re: Midtown Greenway

With the Green Line extension moving forward now, does anyone have any ideas about how we get the Greenway transit plan back to the forefront? Rewinding through some planned developments on the city website. I discovered that on November 26th the city approved the redevelopment of 10400, 10500, and 10550 Bren Rd E. Re: Iron Store - 528 Washington Ave N (Cancelled)

Speaking of the floorplates, this would be a great place for Sheridan to take their bowling alley concept that they've twice failed with at the Guthrie liner parcel. YES! A Pinstripes + a curling hall would be amazingly awesome over here and fit in well with the existing restaurants/breweries/resid...

If this will be privately funded - and perhaps results in the current end-of-life parking ramp nearby closing, why the h...

I think it will be a beautiful building, I hope the new developments along Washington help it connect into the skyline a little bit. It's going to be very isolated over there.
I'm looking forward to this and Alia adding to the view heading up Hiawatha into downtown.
