For those with full access to the article... are they selling the whole thing including the vacant lot? Or just selling the mall and keeping the vacant lot for themselves?
Mall + ramp + vacant lot.

I assume they're going to have it run straight across Nicollet, then take a turn into 365 Nicollet, like MNdible described, to be replaced whenever Opus finally gets their act together to build on the rest of their lot. It's not ideal, but that's exactly what's happening with the skyway between the...

Great! It's pretty crazy how fast all of Thrivent's lots got redeveloped once they decided to sell. They're all closed now, right? I think the south half of their new HQ block is back in limbo after Sherman backed out on the apartments & hotel component proposed. But I can't imagine that will sit i...

Re: Uptown General Topics & Development Map

Nowhere besides this forum did people think that these sites were going to be redeveloped just because a lease turned over. I think it's a natural thought for those of us who know how that could be an outcome for when several adjacent businesses have their leases end around the same time in a hot r...

Re: Gateway Tower (RBC/Four Seasons) - 37 stories - 503'

It's weird that this site still has to carry its 'iconic' baggage. If this is a mediocre development, then... what is everything else that's been built in the last two decades? I mean, this will literally be the best high-rise building built in Minneapolis since at least 2007 (Carlyle), and I'd arg...

If there is a redevelopment, I hope these retailers will be a part of the street level frontage again!
However, if someone is going to redevelop these buildings... why is that damn empty lot in front of the Calhoun Square parking ramp still not developed?!

The porte-cochère problem is made worse by the continued intrusion of the extremely stupid streetcar easement. Re: Bloomington Central Station & South Loop Development

My only regret is that the apartment buildings that were built in the last two years don’t have a ground floor retail. I’m talking about the apartments just west of American Boulevard station. With all of the new apartments build there recently, and the start of the new building, I don’t see why a ...

Perhaps the most accessible people would be City officials, given that it's entirely within city limits. Even if funding or planning eventually has to go through a higher jurisdiction, it still seems sensible to have them as vocal advocates for the project. It might even be productive, given Frey's...

I just really want to figure out how we can get Midtown back on the radar... A lot has changed since the Lake Street/Midtown study several years ago, both politically and development-wise. At that time, a dual line plan with the aBRT B Line on Lake Street & a Midtown rail option was estimated at ~$2...
