Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News

Are the DID ambassadors trained in connecting people to services? That may be another way to help out as they are easily identifiable, and are already walking around downtown.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News

I used to volunteer there and there was definitely an unsafe and hostile feeling there and around the building So the one in Uptown closed. Look I went here when I was fresh 18 just graduated from a high school in the burbs. It did not feel hostile to me. Unsafe? Maybe? Are you associated with the ...

Re: Star Tribune

I didn’t realize that. When’s I’ve read it, I have actually found it to be really entertaining, using very local references. For example, read the first paragraph of the following article :-) https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-lifestyle/edina-city-manager-hastily-retreats-after-ripping-minneapolis...

Both would be amazing! Selfishly I would add a Duluth Trading Company.

Re: Star Tribune

I 100% with everything said. We are very lucky to have good print, both paper and online, media here. In addition to the Strib, we have MinnPost, Bring Me the News, Finance and Commerce, and the MSP Business Journal, for sources that discuss regional, or state, topics.

Re: Theater Garage Marquee Apartments - (Franklin & Lyndale)

Would they be moving slower so as not to cause more damage to surrounding buildings? I remember the construction here caused cracks to appear in a building nearby.

Re: Foundry Mixed-Use Development - 115-125 1st St N, 128 2nd St N, 128 1st Av N

Part of the issue is access/signage to the C ramp. While it isn't particularly far from the NL there is likely a mental barrier for some since it isn't immediately clear to an outsider where to access the monster structure. This is a good point. I have lived here my entire life (35 years) and only ...

Re: Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board

Looking at all the diagrams, where is it forcing people off? The Y split near Portland can change to favor continuing west onto 50th, no problem, if that's what the traffic demands. The ramps up to Lyndale hitting right turn only medians, fine, should have been there already. Is that really all? I ...

I actually really enjoy this drive. I find it very calming. Instead of forcing people off it, is there a way to slow people down?

This is now demolished! I drove by it today but couldn't get a photo. Combined with the Arby's block, the Lagoon and Colfax will really feel different.

What’s the new height? They have been building the tower already. I bet they are up to 10-12 floors already.
The trim is for a second tower they had proposed building. I don’t think this is for the tower currently under construction.

I’m going with a friend! On Saturday, we are planning on places near the river, the Hennepin Island Power House and the A Mill Lofts and maybe the post office. I want to check out the Scottish Rite Temple on Sunday.
