Valid response. If it helps, I would guess he is on the autism spectrum, and that his tone, manner of speaking, etc, is not intentional. I work with people on the spectrum and my “A”-dar goes off a lot when watching his videos.

Nicks idea reminds me of other large cities in the world. (New York and London have boroughs, Tokyo has wards, I’m sure other large cities have similar break downs.)

I have faith. I felt the same way until I learned that it had burned down before. The idea that they had created it from scratch more than once gives me hope.

Why is there currently an operating rule to only allow one train in a tunnel at a time? (Referencing slide 27 in the Riverview Corridor presentation.)

I hope with the at grade station, the planner put conscious care in the surround area, like good lighting, strong connection to the parkway, etc. At first look, placing a train station under two bridges does not see like a great idea for place making, or the perception of safety.

I gotta ask, was the “air right” part a Burlesque reference?! LolOnly if they're able to work out air rights with the adjacent property owner to cut in some more windows on the back side of the building.

Potentially. However, I don’t believe the rest of the world would view us as any more “flyover” than Belgrade, Serbia, or Bariloche, Argentina.Or more likely the rest of the world still views Minnesota along with the rest of the Midwest scratch Chicago as a flyover state.

AgreedAlso, as an aside, this comment is exactly wrong in my opinion. The same kids who score poorly on testing are the same kids who cost more money to educate.(especially so given student performance in MPS).

Re: Bicycle Infrastructure
the root of the issue is the lack of redundancy in our bike infrastructure. Closing one trail is a reasonable thing to do for a project like this but the problem is that all of the alternative routes suck. Biking from where i live in NE to the lakes is way way worse for this 6 year closure. Sent fr...

They could also build a stations near target field stations and connect to it. Many rail stations in Japan are like this, with multiple rail companies having their own section of a station to use.
