And then dumped part of the parking lot in it/ Reading comprehension fail or insider knowledge? The article says, "Demolition work on the building was halted. With the building off limits, the contractors then moved to tear up the asphalt parking lot." I don't see where it was "dumpe...

I see CTIB being the easiest to get approval - Hennepin county alone counts for 47% of the vote.

SLP is going to build a bridge over the rail line in 2018 as part of Connect the Park. Also it's the North Cedar Lake Trail there.

From a physics standpoint you're wrong. Moving twice the mass of snow on average twice the distance means you're doing 4x as much work.

Golden Valley isn't interested in a Joint-Powers agreement. See pages 68 and 69 of the SLP City Council agenda for tonight (which includes this as minutes to be approved from the 4/6/15 Council Meeting: http://www.stlouispark.org/webfiles/fil ... 4_20cm.pdf

What exactly is the project implied for TH 7 in the western suburbs? The current listed project in the 2015-2018 STIP is #2706-237 slated for 2018: Bituminous mill and overlay, ADA and intersection revisions from just East of 494 to just West of Louisiana. No clue what the increased funding improve...

What I recall is that they were putting temporary freight tracks on the Cedar Lake LRT Trail bridge while they tear down and rebuild the rail bridge. Then next summer they'll redo the trail bridge.

Re: Street, Road and Highway Projects

Moving over from the Armory thread. I dont understand the cheap repairs that MnDot does. Like patching a concrete freeway with asphalt. Or in the case of 394, completely covering concrete with asphalt. Just crappy, and it never lasts. In the case of 394, neighbors complained about the noise of the ...

4. Population change from 2010 to 2012 made up 33.3% of the total score. A higher percent change earned a higher score. The 2010 population comes from the 2010 American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates for all places in the state, Table DP 05. The 2012 population data comes from the 2012 American ...

Re: Mowers: manual reel push vs. gas-powered vs. electric

I have both a manual reel mower and a gas mower. I found the reel to be fun but require passes from 2 directions to get a decent mow. That may be more because my yard is uneven and has lots of small dips and bulges. I pretty much only use it now if I run out of gas or have patches of new seed. If yo...

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)

It doesn't take a huge stretch of the imagination that the "bermed" north tunnel would be cheaper and less disruptive to the water table. It actually sounds like a pretty reasonable idea, it just isn't what the Met Council agreed to or promised. (Note: I personally oppose the north tunnel...
