St. Louis Park - General Topics

Those are tucked under, Caribou and Boston Market is in a stand-alone building. Maybe they’re the ones relocating? But Park Nicollet has a huge bare plot across the driveway from McDonalds and the movie theater. Why not build there? There were no movie titles on the theater marquee, maybe that build...

When I’ve been stuck waiting to cross Lake I’ve wished it were grade separated. But I struggle imagining how to do it without raising Lake up and have it cut the view from Dean Pkwy and the ground floor of Calhoun Beach Club.

West Lake Station / Calhoun Village area - multimodal study, development, etc.

Aside from general population trends around driving habits, there may have part of a extended delayed shift as people discovered faster routes to get around. In particular, 394 opened in 1991 then TH 100 had auxiliary lanes added. Gradually people in southern SLP and Northern Edina driving into Minn...

Re: St. Louis Park - General Topics

The Hopkins Cold Storage site was considered the largest redevelopment site along the SWLRT. The station area visions for Louisiana, that I recall, always seemed to expect the Sam’s site would remain, though the edges of the parking lot along Louisiana Ave were redeveloped as small retail. If the Sa...

This will be fought vigorously by certain neighborhoods. Adding this makes a proposed TH 100 cap closer to justifiable.

Minneapolis vacated the France Ave ROW south of Lake Street when the Shoreham was built.

If connecting France is impossible now, maybe connecting Park Glen to W 32nd?

F&C noting the units to the north, adjacent to the station plaza, would be built on surplus HCRRA land. Those units are said to be all affordable while the units in the towers will be market rate.

Oakdale -New Hadley Interchange Traffic Circles- 36

It’d been posted about over in the Transportation forum’s “Street, Road and Highway Projects” thread. It seems perfect from a “move drivers smoothly, safely at whatever the cost” checklist. With 120 and 36 so close and due for grade separation, this seems needlessly, wastefully, and expensively redu...

Design for the TH 36 and Hadley grade separation plus Gateway Trail grade separation project. https://www.co.washington.mn.us/2504/HadleyInterchange/ So much space for smooth flowing driving... While it’s not perfect, if a development fails to increase the Walk Score then “walkability” is a bunch of “el oh el nothing even matters...”
