Re: Stadium Parking Ramp Air Rights Development

From what I can tell, this looks like a real winner for DTE. I love it!

Re: Lake & Nicollet Redevelopment (Kmart site)

I think that realistically any development here is going to need a lot of affordable housing money to pencil out. I dream about getting some HUD capital grants that would allow something with concrete. I'd like to see a tower or two, although that's passe in affordable housing. Why not shoot for so...

I'm a little surprised that the 3 bedroom penthouse for $4852.00 doesn't have a balcony off the master.

Re: The Eclipse

I still think that these two buildings are too close together, +/- 40'...that is packing the density on this one...is this city ready for residential buildings this tall that are this close together?
First we want density... then it's too dense?

I rather like how the renderings look in this PDF. I think it will be a nice addition to that area.

Call me simple... but I'm not familiar with what a pied-e-terre is and get very little luck with googling it. Can someone explain?

Re: Hy-Vee

I would prefer a Festival Foods, but with any luck they'll stick one of these in the uptown area (or close by at least)... we need something better than nasty Uptown Rainbow but less expensive than Lunds/Byerly's/Kowalski's. Either that or bring back the plans to demo and expand Uptown Rainbow... th...

Hmmm, Bar Louie and Louies Wine Dive just blocks from each other... maybe we should rename the neighborhood to Louie's.

Re: Theater Garage Marquee Apartments - (Franklin & Lyndale)

In this specific case, aren't all the businesses signed up to move back into the new building? And the owner of the building that's being torn down says the current building is in such bad shape that it's too expensive to maintain?
I believe it's just the theater that's moving back in.

Re: Uptown Retail News

I was walking the dogs yesterday and there was definitely blue prints sitting on a table inside the vacant retail space at Blue. That combined with the drywall just sitting in there leads me to believe there might be SOMETHING going on. Anyone have info on this?

So I've never actually came in and introduced myself, but here goes. My name is Tommy and I live on Ridgewood in Minneapolis. I have a true passion for urban development and living in a growing city. I love Minneapolis, but like many of you would like to see it grow and become more dense as quick as...
