Re: New Thrivent Headquarters Building - 6th and Portland

well it could be 8 stories. Very difficult to tell as it's just a picture of the exterior. Be interested to learn more about what is going to be communicated tonight.

Re: New Thrivent Headquarters Building - 6th and Portland

Based on unofficial chatter around the office, I am hearing the building will be more than 5 stories. In addition I am hearing the new office will probably incorporate a collaborative open workspace concept. Again this isn't official, just what I have been hearing from other colleagues. But who know...

Re: Thrivent's Surface Parking Lots

This has told me a lot more than the internal news announced to us last Monday in which we were just told "a parking ramp" . We were told Thrivent signed a purchase agreement with the buyer who is developing the land to build a "parking ramp". Unless I was just reading into the v...

Re: Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) Clinic Expansion

Just curious, but has there been discussions about connecting HCMC's skyway to the rest of downtown? I know they're really trying to target the people who work in downtown or at least make it more attractive, but I think that would become more of a reality if you could just walk there from the skyway

Re: Thrivent's Surface Parking Lots

as a Thrivent employee and the communication I received internally, I do know that Thrivent will be very selective as to what get's developed there, if anything at all. They will ensure it not only complements the revitalization efforts, but also makes sense to the employees and the members. I sure ...

Re: Pioneer Endicott Building - (141 East Fourth Street)

Such a dignified and historic building deserves better management. It sounds like they have a real fiasco on their hands, and the management's response is to deceive residents and post fake reviews to boost their star ratings on Google, rather than fix problems. Pathetic. http://www.apartments.com/...

Re: Pioneer Endicott Building - (141 East Fourth Street)

I know somebody that has moved into the building last month and he's not happy at all with how things are moving at a glacial pace there. He was promised they would have some type of grill on the top floor of the parking garage, to which hasn't been done and there's no updates as to when that would ...

Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)

Paint is THE cheapest thing to change about anyplace and perhaps they wait until the first tenant signs the lease before painting the unit -- allowing the tenant to choose their own colors. If that's the biggest issue I don't think there's an issue. I personally repaint almost all of the rooms of a...

Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)

has anybody seen the few pictures that LPM posted on facebook on what the inside looked? Is anybody else just as turned off as I am? I'm not denying that the materials they used weren't expensive as they definitely do..but the white granite countertops mixed with the birch cupboards, a regular kitch...

Re: 35W Lid downtown/University

I had a difficult time when I was circling around the display yesterday at IDS to get my sense of direction. Based on the plethora of signs discussing the project, they feel the project can get paid off by the fact there would be a parking garage inside that lid as well.

Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)

I too have mentioned how awesome it would be if there was a Trader Joes. Wishful thinking, I know. Of course there's going to probably be some boushy overpriced restauarant that yet again nobody can really get too. But god forbid there be such a retailer (Trader Joes) and I'm sure many people will h...

Re: Downtown East Project (Ryan Companies / Wells Fargo)

Not a fan of it being the same height, but at least it appears skinnier. I agree with many of you about the concrete wall look. Ugh.

Maybe the new name of the park could be "Walled-in (Walden) Park" or "Walled Gardens"
