Proposal for a five-story, 215-unit apartment building on the site of an existing dilapidated industrial building and former rail right-of-way. 815 13th Ave SE Apartments Additions

CPM proposes to renovate an existing drab multi-family residence with a series of new additions. This is an interesting reuse of the existing structure. You can find renderings, etc. in the staff report. It's located across the street from another recently completed CPM project, "The Rail"...

Re: Seattle

Yeah, I sometimes wonder if Seattle is headed for a big fall when the next tech bubble burst happens. They lost Boeing, right? It feels like a monoculture is developing there but obviously I'm missing a lot of information. One advantage the Twin Cities has is that food will always be necessary. Sea...

Re: Seattle

The rapid pace and scale of new development in Seattle is really amazing. I was just there last week and walked away quite impressed with the number of highrises under construction. They've also done an overall great job with making sure the new development downtown adheres to strong urban design pr...

Re: Elan Uptown (all phases) - 2837 Emerson Ave

Is "Elan" some kind of national brand? There's an "Elan Union Station" apartment I saw here in Denver.
Greystar uses the "Elan" name for apartments in many cities that have high quality finishes, etc.

Re: Gateway Corridor

Woodbury is such a blank slate when it comes to transit -- there isn't much service to/from the city except for a few park-and-rides. I think they really ought to be looking at starting up a whole network of regular buses rather than trying to take the leap to a corridor -- especially since there i...

Re: Third North - (800 Third Street North)

I toured a couple of units yesterday. According to the sales agent, the building is approximately 65% occupied. While I enjoy the exterior design, the quality of the interior was disappointing. A lot of the finishes felt cheap. The development seemed "nice enough" overall, but I wouldn't p...
