Re: Mall of America - Bloomington

It is a large employer and transit hub. I’m sure they did their due diligence and found it wasn’t worth it.

Re: 38th Street Corridor & 38th St Station Development

Looking at the website, the 2nd floor is full, 3rd floor has 2 vacancies and 4th floor has 7 vacancies. And as mentioned the 2 large units on 28th Ave are vacant.

Huge bummer if true. I wonder if phase 1 isn't filling like they hoped? I see the retail spaces are still empty other than the Lander office.

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings

There are going to be some changes to the State Fair service this year, mostly due to an operator shortage. This piece from Citylab is a good read about the current state of affairs of the transit operator profession, as an aside: https://www.citylab.com/transportation/2018/06/why-wont-anyone-drive...

I'm looking to replace it. it was a $300 hybrid. Mostly I ride it for recreation and an occasional trip to the store. Once in a while for exercise...

Re: Gateway Tower (Four Seasons/RBC) - 43 stories - 513'

Yes, surprised no one has mentioned it yet, but (if I'm reading correctly) the condo component has increased to 50 units. They also now describe a potential scenario where both the hotel and condos components are replaced with apartments if the hotel is "deemed unfeasible". I wonder what's going on...

In an email update from CM Johnson- Two big development updates recently occurred, both at Hiawatha Avenue & 42nd Street. First, the Starbucks and Domino's proposal was pulled by the developer after significant concerns were raised by residents, neighborhood associations (LCC & SENA), and the Planni...
