It's apparently being built by K-A. They're proposing (hold on to your hats) a six-story stick-built apartment building with a WF branch in the base. (Locked)

Hooray.

Re: Renaissance Square

I learned this used to not have those massive columns just a few weeks ago. Used to be a classic downtown store front with A LOT of doors. oh... so it looks like phase I. I would disagree. Yeah it's reaching Bloomington level office park standards and should probably be massed a lot better than it was, but it's way better than a parking lot. Also the panels look really neat when the sun is hitting them just right. https://i.imgu...

Frey has called it dead, and yet is touting it a bit. The environmental review conducted by URS is being amended at this coming TP&W meeting. Authorizing an amendment to Contract No. C-35625 with URS, extending the contract end date to Dec 31, 2019, to complete environmental review and pre-project d...

Eeeeehhhhh. This is neighborhood node commercial if anything. Want missing middle look at the 4 story, 6 unit building popping up in Lyndale. Or the 3 story, 10 unit buildings on Como.

Can a glass building have a rear end? The butt seems to be on 3rd where there will be tons of conflicts with bikes and buses if its built as is.

I tried to fix the tower quickly.

Looking through all the renderings, the building is looking much better. That first floor is an absolute mess though. Also hey! 513'!

It'd be so easy to fix... Wrapping poles in brighter colors, more storefront having garden spaces, MORE GLASS (honestly, glass can be many colors and they'd break up the tans, grays and browns.

Re: Southside - General Topics

I have a lot of photos of it now. The only way it could be salvaged is if they did something similar to Territorial Hall. Knock down everything but the facade and build back.
