Re: Fullertown Flats - 4736 Grand Ave

I remember commenting with quite a few addresses where old streetcar corner buildings were downzoned to Urban Neighborhood / Interior 1, such as 48th and 4th. Still, more were missed.

Regarding 48th and Grand, it doesn't have 18G buses, but does have a U and Downtown Ltd Stop bus during rush hours.

I was just thinking about how much I love the design of Brunsfield, and they did that one too right? If/when I do a three story walkup, I want to try and scale down something like that design.

Re: Northeast and Southeast Minneapolis - General Topics

If I was the Sheridan association, I'd be doing an access management study on 13th St NE. It runs parallel and close to Broadway. Does it really need traffic in both directions? What if 13th St NE was one lane one way on certain blocks where parking is required, and possibly even no traffic on a blo...

Does Walmart retain a lease on this property? The reason I ask... - Walmart was in a similar situation in St. Anthony where they built on the old Apache Mall site. - They were limited in grocery sales because a Cub was also a part of the development. - They built a new store in Roseville and closed ...

Aldi used to do "summer hours" where they were open to 9 p.m... what ever happened to that? I wish more places did that - Home Depot stays open til 10 during the summer, for example.

Re: Ayd Mill Road

On another note, why oh why is there that loop from eastbound Jefferson to northbound Ayd Mill? I can't find AADT volume for that specific loop ramp, but I have to imagine it's a tiny amount compared to traffic from 35E or from westbound Jefferson. There's already space for a left turn lane for the ...

I realize the comments are awful, but has anyone realized the balance of power has been slowly changing particularly WRT transportation status quo on articles about bike lanes, transit, etc? It's encouraging.

Re: Target Field Station (the Hotel) & Target Field Station (the Station)

It was only built like a decade ago, and I bet it does a killer business. Unfortunately that's why I wish we had a little more of a carrot approach for drive thrus and auto-oriented businesses. I could see it making sense for this to go up near 10th Ave N / Oak Lake Av on the other side of the Heywo...

It looks like Lyons or Murrays can make it work by having trucks load *in the same exact alley that borders this building* https://goo.gl/maps/Ju6RkgrNbvEh4uNT6

Re: Wells Fargo Redevelopment - 801 Portland - 16 stories - 180'

Wow, Portland will have quite the canyon effect once this is complete. Even moreso once this parking lot and the HCMC parking lot (next to the ramp where you're standing) are developed. Seems like Portland could go down to two lanes + protected bikeway + parking bulbouts + trees similar to how it is...

Re: Uptown Retail & Restaurant News

It's kind of wild that the CB2 and LA Fitness corners are entirely new parts of the complex (replacing old buildings) within the past decade. And they don't include a vertical housing or hotel or even office component. In the case of CB2, I seem to recall the previous building had multiple storefron...
