Re: 77th/76th Street Corridor - Richfield / Edina

22 unit apartment building proposed for International Blvd and Pillsbury in Richfield. 22 underground parking stalls, 19 above grade parking stalls. FAR or 0.216? I mean, I guess it's good to see new apartments in Richfield. But come on, wow. http://richfieldmn.gov/home/showdocument?id=11879 https:/...

Richfield Jaguar Land Rover details:

Looks decent, except for the 58 stall surface lot along International Blvd.

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)

Wish we could chop up this work a little differently... Blue Line to Penn or Robbinsdale alongside Green Line to West Lake or Hopkins. Open both extensions in phases = more urban service sooner.

Wow, Sheridan is hot. Solhem has a new 98 unit proposal on the triangle block between Broadway and the 1029 bar.

Is that neighborhood convenience store on the street level of Churchill (near post office) still open? That's even closer to Whole Foods.

Re: Fantasy maps

The city should make 3 lanes "acceptable" to the county up to and including turning it back to the city. Three lanes with strategic medians would be great, along with great bus stops and maybe bus advantage and bike lanes. Make it happen!

Re: Fantasy maps

I think Hennepin would make a great rail/bike corridor, with limited slip lanes/parking for retail access.

Here's a map I made in 2012:

Re: Fantasy maps

That Lyndale layout could work if the outer lanes were for transit instead of cars. Four lanes for cars seems far too excessive and contrary to our modal priority framework.

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings

Leave it to Southwest Transit to assume all of their riders drive and park. "there is more than enough capacity at the other 4 ramps" Clover Field and Walnut St (Downtown Chaska) are two prime walkable TOD areas. This is a big slap in the face to anyone who bought or rented a place to live in either...

Re: Cedar Ave - Nokomis Area

The developer's appeal was denied. So if they wish to proceed with their site plan as approved, it includes the condition that there is only one curb cut on Cedar. If they wish to do something substantially different, they would need to start the process over again (hopefully not before we can get a...

Re: The Commons - Downtown East Park

If Amazon wanted to scale up downtown, I'm guessing their preference would be 1. more floors in T3 then 2. Space in another building very close by (short walk). I can't imagine they'd want space on the complete opposite end of downtown. I have a guess for who might be interested in more space (and I...

Waconia is a charming lakeside town with a largely urban land use and a walkable street grid. Its wellbeing and bucolic way of life is threatened by sub-urban sprawl.

I don't see that as a liability if messaged properly. Dayton didn't soak people with incomes of $75,000, he raised taxes on marginal income above $250,000. And that's not even close to the top 1%.
