Re: Nicollet Mall Reconstruction Project

Very Disappointing. http://www.startribune.com/redesign-of-nicollet-mall-redo-won-t-include-any-brick-like-pavers/367033751/ Brick pavers out from the entire mall, including the sidewalks. Large poured concrete slabs will replace them. Maybe we get some stenciling on them if they can come under budg...

Re: Downtown East - Wells Fargo / Radisson Red / Edition Apt

Wells Fargo can keep its signs up near Vikings stadium, for now Vikings had argued the signs photo-bomb the adjacent U.S. Bank Stadium. Judge Donovan Frank's ruling came Thursday afternoon. http://www.startribune.com/wells-fargo-can-keep-its-signs-up-near-vikings-stadium-for-now/366906871/ First hea...

Re: Minneapolis Skyway System

I agree with just about everything he said. Especially the ending: "How can the skyways be improved? The non-uniform opening hours have burned me more than once as have the limited weekend hours. There needs to be better grocery options and more places to sit. And I still feel passionately abo...

Re: T3 - Hines Dock Street Office Project

The girth of those members hardly seems adequate. One thin wooden member would certainly be inadequate, but as you can see there will be many members lined up one after the other. The cumulative effects of all that wood should be entirely satisfactory. So, you're saying that with sufficient numbers...

Re: Writing Campaign

This: You're much better off getting involved in the process. Join your neighborhood board, get to know your councilmember personally. As for requesting certain businesses, I think you should just email them. If you have a list of businesses, perhaps forward that to the Downtown Council. The Downtow...

Re: RBC Plaza (former Gaviidae II)

My look at it is they had a lousy business plan. They built a 14 plex for downtown that does not have captive residential to fill those large theaters. Agreed. They had already closed by the time the SOO Line had opened, so I can't personally gauge what the demand was. Even so (and though I was the...

Re: RBC Plaza (former Gaviidae II)

St. Anthony Main is one of our favorite theaters! Sent from my Z958 using Tapatalk I'm very fond of it as well, actually. Evelia (the S.O.) and I probably patronized them about 2-3 times a month in 2015 when it's pleasant enough to walk. Still, If there were a few state-of-the-art screens downtown ...

Re: RBC Plaza (former Gaviidae II)

That would be nice. The near-total lack of places to eat anything after 5pm that isn't a sit-down restaurant makes downtown suck. When I think of what would make downtown better, it isn't another department store. It is street level quick-service restaurants. You know things are bad when the only o...

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

I've noticed this too. Even without snow, it frosts over some mornings. The stadium is enclosed and heated but I'm guessing they aren't heating it to 70. They are probably just heating it to 45 or 50 so water lines won't freeze. I'm guessing when the stadium is fully heated there will be enough hea...

Re: 4Marq - (313' - 30 Stories)

What are some feelings on this building not having balconies? Given how many apartment complexes offer balconies, I can't believe 4Marq went this route. I personally try to find apartments with balconies because it reduces my cabin fever. Haven't seen a lot of discussion on the omission of private ...

Thank you for the video.

You're welcome ;)

I find myself liking the look of the building as well.

Flickr has been known to limit the number of image calls as a referral from another web site. Not something they generally advertise but I have seen it, yes (and do see it here).
