"Rail planners need $4 million in capital funds to conduct an environmental analysis and generate a service development plan." http://www.duluthnewstribune.com/news/traffic-and-construction/4536918-second-daily-...

Three front doors in the commercial space, but left flexible depending on tenant desires. Will include infrastructure in case someone wants to add a kit...

I'm a bit skeptical about whether this would inspire parking lots to be developed.

Re: Gold Line BRT (Gateway Corridor)

Nobody riding end to end on this line would be inconvenienced by adding the "loop." Those people who don't want the loop will still be able to get on/off the bus near the Union Depot. Adding the loop simply adds an option for people starting or stopping further west. Additionally, from what I read d...

I've been told State Supply is a willing seller of their property, but I don't know if this proposal includes that space. The developers are going to present at the next Railroad Island Task Force meeting.

Re: Rush Line Corridor BRT

totally agree with this, tmart. Maybe Maplewood Mall should build a circulator system that goes around their property, including the Rush Line stop by the hospital... It could have door to door service to each of the mall anchors.

60-75 unit building proposed for 520 Payne Ave site (near E 7th), currently an empty lot. On Facebook neighbors appear to not like that it will involve low-income housing tax credits.

Re: Rush Line Corridor BRT

I was pretty disappointed with the Maryland Avenue station placement, but then they decided to add the Cook Ave station, which is close not only to the Hmong Village shopping center, but also Baldinger Bakery, Duluth Case Rec Center, and some apartment buildings west of Phalen Blvd. I was quite surp...
