Re: Stadium Parking Ramp Air Rights Development

Is it safe to say the original design of a greenish tower that was presented is not happening here?

Re: Opus Development - 315 Nicollet Mall (Ritz block)

The second floor includes a skyway along Nicollet Mall that will connect to the building south of the site at 401 Nicollet Mall. This skyway will be accessible to the general public via an entrance on Nicollet Mall. Residents of the building will access the skyway lobby via a shuttle elevator in th...

Nice picture. The block looks better IMO with these buildings here than not.

They said that last summer when I was there last.

Not sure if it has started. Not sure if they'll continue with beefsticks on the floor for VIP's either.

Society is already organized around white supremacy, no need for anyone to rally.
Wow.

Re: Opus Ritz Block Development

So ... it's another ~30 story building in the heart of downtown? With two on the next block and another planned for the Nicollet Hotel block? It seems like the only types of building we get here are six floors with underground parking or 30ish floors with a big ol' parking podium. The design itself...

Re: Rumors: A Historical Record of Mystery

Wow I know I’m late to the party, haven’t been checking in as much as usual, but I’m not surprised at all by any of this. A few times over on SSC I tried to get the discussion back onto real projects actually happening and then after a few posts “June” would offer up some more juicy details to get ...

13 feet taller than it's neighbor Nic - I wonder visibly how much one could tell of a difference.

Re: Nicollet Hotel Block

This probably sounds negative, but with a hand drawn sketch that won the proposal: get ready for no lighting scheme, no offset interestingly stacked towers, and it definitely won't be "iconic". If a developer doesn't have their feet held to the fire they'll go as cheap as possible. While the Pohlad'...

Re: Rumors: A Historical Record of Mystery

Every time I jump back into this, I become more and more convinced there's something more sinister at play here than fooling forumers. Here's a profile I dug up in the fake ring of profiles: "Samuel Horowitz," a private investor from NYC. This isn't a character that ever popped up on SSC (as far as...

Re: Rumors: A Historical Record of Mystery

Yeah, so it goes back to Minnescraper, and RB is a real person who maybe had some peripheral involvement in financing and probably knew some actual people and knew some actual stuff. He's got a lot of big ideas, but not enough money or connections to turn them into anything, and now he's retired an...

Re: Nicollet Hotel Block

With a 2016 start it would be close, It would be awesome if this and the viking ramp apartments were both built. Is that what the current plan is? A 2016 start?? That's when the stadium is set to open, presumably by September 2016 when the season starts. The Super Bowl isn't until 2/4/18. I meant t...

Re: Nicollet Hotel Block

It might be that the 36 is the occupied floors. There maybe a couple of mechanical floors that are not counted, which might bring it to 39 floors that are shown. Time will tell. I'll admit this was my second choice. But I'm still not sure it will really help increase the draw of people to the north...
