Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News

There is a national Lutheran youth conference taking place. I talked to some people from Montana this morning. Over 20k kids in attendance. I guess last night they took over US Bank Stadium, and today they are at the convention center.

It's already vandalized with prominent graffiti.
Saw that yesterday morning. It was removed by yesterday afternoon, however.

I am in favor of this. I'll throw out Finnegan's Brew House as a potential meet-up site. It's convenient for me and a non-controversial, popular new development.

I initially thought they included the convention center, then I saw the scrawled "Macy's"...oh man.

Re: Minneapolis Density and Population Growth (500k, etc)

I never look too closely at Minneapolis and St. Paul's respective populations and densities. Both city's boundaries are so small compared to almost every other comparison. Denver and Seattle, for instance, encompass three times the land of Minneapolis. But Seattle's total controlled area is forty p...

Re: Gaviidae Common / Downtown YMCA

The pool will not be open until 2/5/18 or so, but this is mostly a remarkable upgrade from the LaSalle location. The locker room is great - no need to bring a padlock. All new exercise equipment. The gymnasium is significantly smaller, but nicer. I did not try the virtual reality exercise equipment,...
