Re: MSP Airport

I would think we will get competing Delta service to Dublin announced real soon I disagree. Delta already flies MSP-LHR. That route has a lot more demand than MSP-DUB. All the travel bloggers were quite shocked that Aer Lingus is coming here in the first place. We'll probably see Delta fighting off...

lol, the lead up to the rendering was something. They had all these design elements of buildings in the area, then they come out with ...drumroll... a gray box.

Re: Scooter sharing

Very interesting about Lime's Access program! I'm glad they're trying. But it's frustrating that only EBT (food assistance) citizens are allowed to use SMS to unlock bikes. For those of us not on EBT, you may only use Lime's smartphone app. They must make a lot of $$$ selling the data they collect ...

Credit/debit card manufacturers are able to add RFID chips in cards. They tried 10, or so, years a go but it never caught on. In the UK and Europe, it did take off and so using contactless payments is quite common. Transport For London now allows users to use their credit cards to pay for tube and b...

Went to Trader Joe's mid-day yesterday. The store was rather busy, but the parking lot was, maybe, 25% full. The bike racks were full outside (could be xgames traffic).

Regardless, one data point saying that a lot of people are walking and biking there.

The news is a dud...

They've had talks with the Vikings of building a hotel at their practice facility and creating a Vikings Disneyland much like the Omni Hotel Frisco.

Re: Scooter sharing

I'm not quite up to speed on these. Obviously they don't fit comfortably out with the cars on the street or on the sidewalk. So, the plan is for people to ride these in bike lanes? Yes, I don't know the specific regulations, but they are supposed to use the same facilities as bikes. I feel that mak...

You can sign up to be a "charger". Essentially, they pay you to collect them at night and you plug them in to charge over night. In the morning you set them outside for people to use.
