Re: Southdale Area - Edina
Looks like there will be a new 382' residential tower on 70th St. / France Ave S. - just south of the Galleria. Notably there is a separate 8-story residential tower to the south of the building geared 100% as affordable housing. https://edina.novusagenda.com/AgendaPublic/CoverSheet.aspx?ItemID=1037...

Re: Gateway Tower (RBC/Four Seasons) - 37 stories - 503'
The latest on this tower borders on absurdity. After years of delays.. all United will do is come to the city with a laughable request with hints of childish drama: "if you don't give us the sign, we won't build it!"

Re: Harlem Irving and CA Ventures - 240 Hennepin Ave - 18-20 stories
Why is it that most of these beautiful old buildings were destroyed in downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul when in Europe - if they dodged war - they were maintained and still persist to today and add lots of character to their cities? I feel like the Twin Cities' historic charm was lost when these bu...

Re: Nicollet Mall
Honestly a tourist will walk up and down the mall and think it’s nicely updated and modern but there’s not much to do here. It’s about as exciting as downtown Louisville

Probably a competitor to Alatus is funding NEBL. There is no way people are this dumb.

Re: United Properties / Four Seasons "Gateway" Project (Nicollet Hotel Block)
I'm surprised too.. the marketability of a Four Seasons tower for ultra-luxury condos should far exceed that of an equally nice stand-alone residential tower. While I applaud UP for this risk-taking (risk-averse?) investment, it's hard not to compare this Four Seasons development in a *prime* downto...

Re: University of Minnesota - General Topics & Development Map
Many of our metro's hospitals were built in the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s when the Twin Cities and its suburbs were growing. Think VA, Methodist, Abbott, HCMC, UMMC, Regions, FV Southdale, etc. and their architecture from the times. They were built well and big. It's hard to make a case to demolish and ...
