Re: B Line Lake St Rapid Bus, Midtown Rail Transit
:ugeek: The "bike lanes" on the Lake-Marshall Bridge are really just narrow shoulders. Couldn’t the narrow shoulders be converted to bike lanes, or are the shoulder needed for some reason? I don’t think the Franklin Avenue Bridge has shoulders. You could narrow the traffic lanes by a few f...

Re: B Line Lake St Rapid Bus, Midtown Rail Transit
I agree. I submitted multiple emails recommending stops at 42nd and West River Parkway to no success.I'm unsure about the stop at 44th Ave. Rather have stop at 42nd and at West River Parkway.

Re: B Line Lake St Rapid Bus, Midtown Rail Transit
There are bike lanes on the Lake Street bridge now but nobody uses them, biking on the protected sidewalk instead. Are those really bike lanes? If so, I would hope for improved bike lanes on the Lake Street Bridge, with better striping, signage, and protection similar to the Franklin Ave Bridge. Ca...

Re: B Line Lake St Rapid Bus, Midtown Rail Transit
An updated striping concept along Lake Street for the upcoming B Line. Bus only lanes for a lot of Lake Street! I would love to see both bus lanes and bike lanes on the Lake Street Bridge.

Hwy 55 will be resurfaced soon. The project states that there will be accessibility updates at intersections, and interchange improvements at Lake Street. I really hope they can include some additional bicycle and pedestrian improvements in this project as well. https://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/pro...

Raising Canes is hoping to take over the old Arby’s spot at Hiawatha and Lake. Too bad there might be another drive thru right next to a transit station. Hopefully the city can find a way to block this. https://thedevelopmenttracker.com/mpls/news/raising-canes-to-open-third-minneapolis-location?fbcl...

Re: Midtown Greenway Trail [not the transit thread]
In council member Cam Gordon’s newsletter apparently the Minnesota Commercial Railroad wants to request state funding to repair the short line bridge. If the bridge is repaired or partially rebuilt there appears to be a real opportunity to add a shared use trail to the bridge and extend the Midtown ...

Related to the lowered river levels, the US Army Corps of Engineers is also looking at removing the locks and dams in Minneapolis. The lowered river levels should give a good idea of what the Mississippi River would look like if they removed the locks and dams. https://www.mvp.usace.army.mil/MplsLoc...

Should Edmund Blvd be renamed? Why do we have a street named after the guy who likely created the first racial covenant entered into a property deed in Minneapolis?

Re: Lowa46 - 46th & Hiawatha Cub Foods Mixed Use
It seems like along Hiawatha Ave would be the ideal location, but that would require relocating a lot more towers.
