Re: Seven Corners: Hotel (30 stories) & Student Housing (12 stories)
Pretty sure the proposal is already dead. That would help explain why, in contrast to what is posted on the city EAW page, neither the zoning and planning committee nor the full council appear to have reviewed this. Would be nice to fill in the back parking lot area, but I agree with all the commen...

Seven Corners Hotel & Student Housing [cancelled]
Has the Mortenson proposal for a 30 story hotel and 12 story student housing development in the Seven Corners area of the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood been discussed anywhere? I couldn't find anything here, but in snooping around the city's environmental review website, I found an EAW from late fall...

Re: Federal Reserve Riverfront Parking Ramp
Pretty sure the Fed’s economists aren’t just sitting around thinking deep economic thoughts about the north loop’s parking situation. At least I would hope they’d delegate that to an administrator.

Re: Gateway Tower (RBC/Four Seasons) - 37 stories - 503'
I mentioned this in the "Eleven" building thready, but I was snooping around on the MPCA "what's in my neighborhood?" interactive map and I see that this project received a recent construction wastewater permit. I think that would be a necessary step prior to beginning constructi...

Re: Transit Crime
I don't take the green line often, but the last three times I was riding it I saw different people smoking one thing or another. The last time, there was hardly anyone on the train except me and my three and a half year old and two people came from the other side of the train, sat down across from u...

Doran has a number of webcams available on their corporate site. I can't figure out how to link directly to the Expo cams, but you can find them here: https://dorancompanies.com/cameras/

Yes. I walked by on Saturday and can confirm they are actively building out that space for Trader Joes. There were grocery store style refrigerated display cases and shelves lined up already.

Re: United Properties / Four Seasons "Gateway" Project (Nicollet Hotel Block)
So basically it is just going to be super plain looking now. Seriously, the spire and the mullion pattern were like the biggest part of their architectural pitch... The City report indicates the new design no longer needs the spire because it is more architecturally significant than the previous on...

The construction of 365 Nicollet from the 17th floor of 4Marq. I'm curious why they took the crane down 3 weeks ago but they haven't put wall panels on the top floors since then. I doubt Opus ran out of money... I think they are finished with the precast panels and only have windows to install. The...

Does anyone know if this was approved? I have been keeping up on the St. Paul planning commission minutes and don't recall seeing anything. I walked by today and there is fencing up and digging is well underway. Could be for soil contamination?

Woah. This is a Magney, Tusler and Setter building... There might be some pieces that should be saved, even it it's just making the courtyard into a pocket park. God that floor plan is awful. An exit right into the 3rd Ave bike lanes, 3 massive community spaces (?), a ton of ground floor PARKING, a...

Re: D Line - Fremont/Emerson/Chicago Rapid Bus
I've been wondering how this line is going to stay on schedule as it goes southbound from HCMC to Lake Street. For the past two weeks I've taken the 94 from St. Paul leaving at 3:30, gotten off at HCMC, and tried to either walk or take the 5 all the way to S 35th St. Because cars have been backed up...

Isn't the ground level pretty active with retail space? I think the parking will be mostly hidden by the office space, even at the 2-5 levels.

Re: CPM North Loop Office Building - 419 Washington Ave N / 420 N 3rd St
This is underway. I drove by last night and there are jersey barriers surrounding the site and they have already started driving piles. I believe this was approved and the appeal denied.
