The Bloom towers won over final approval last night from the city council. The south tower is expected to see construction this coming spring with the taller north tower to break ground 18 months later. The south tower is now 20 stories instead of 21 and the city is still working on selling the land...

The start of construction was just announced by Titan and Opus for their Urban on First project in downtown. They expect to finish in August of 2019.

The development plans have been uploaded to the city website. It looks like the shorter tower will be 21 stories with an additional mechanical floor for a total of 22 stories. The overall height will be 272 feet tall. The taller tower will be 28 stories and reach a height of 360 feet. For comparison...

A conditional use permit was filed last week. The project will go before Planning and Zoning and City Council in February and March.
