Re: Rush Line Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
Clearly it would not be "silly" to feed both Rush and Riverview into the green line IF Riverview fed into the Capital segment and Rush fed into the Union Depot segment, as it could travel down Price St. Which would mean that only the Green line would terminate at SPUD. Rush/Riverview would...

Re: Rush Line Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
I still think it makes sense to interline Rush and Riverview LRTs. Giving us three main lines. Blue: MOA to NW burbs Green: St Paul to EP (new): Airport to WBL Yea, that does sound nice on paper to have but how they line up don't seem to be working that well. I personally would LOVE to see a new le...

Re: Nice Ride Minnesota
Are the new station locations new *stations* are are they just moved from other locations? It's hard to keep track of if things are net gains or just reshuffling. A few of them on Nicollet Mall I would imagine would be reshuffled, like the one out front of the YWCA maybe even Hyatt Regency as well.

Re: Westminster Church
What surprised me about the proposal was the absence of any reference to their residential tower for seniors. As that was my understanding as to why they wanted to buy this property in the first place. I understand that financing may not have worked out, but this proposal seems to really limit thei...

Re: Nice Ride Minnesota
Having a station next to a co-op is a big plus. Believe it or not taking a nice ride bike to a grocery store is a huge benefit for users. I always take Nice ride to get groceries at Uptown Cub. Though I wish Nice Ride sold some foldable clip-on baskets to carry two bags of groceries. It's a great wa...

Are they still going to build that Oak Grove inline station this year?

Re: Nice Ride Minnesota
I thought the biggest reason for lack of expansion was difficulty finding a supplier to make new bikes and bike stations? Given the recent bankruptcy in the industry. Is that no longer an issue?

My friend has a site that compiles the images and creates a timelapse. A few of the rejected images here from the 21st-23rd are panned up.

Is it my turn to say it's ugly and awful, or is there a line still? I don't want to cut the complaining line.

I don't know guys. I don't think "Impact on skyline" and "boring af parking podium" are on the top of many developers "before I build" checklists. I would hope some of you would take that frustration out by contacting the developer and encouraging them to rethink their ...

Re: Northern Lights Express
not much developable land in downtown Hinckley. It don't seem to have much potential to develop into something. Plus I'm sure IF there was a shuttle to the Casino the times would at best allow for 15min layovers. So maybe visitors could explore downtown Hinckley for 12 min? That is unless the locals...

Re: Amtrak Empire Builder and Intercity Rail to Chicago
I agree, if they simply had free WIFI that would greatly improve the train experience. Be nice to be able to stream Netflix along the route. I really hope they have plans to start improving segments so they can start increasing train speeds in sections every year, that way the times will start to de...

Yea, I like the Royalston Farmers Market better. (take out the "/") The Farmer's Market should actually name the venue. It's not like we don't call it The Nicollet Mall Farmers Market when it WAS on Nicollet Mall. Better branding would only increase its marketing potential.

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
Couldn't they work out a better long term solution to tailgating? Maybe creating a tailgating parking lot near 28th station like at the Health Partners HQ for the south metro fans. A second lot at the Target North HQ campus, then riders could hop the blue line train (increasing transit numbers) and ...
