Re: Rafter - 333 Hennepin Ave E (290' - 26 stories)
Thanks for the info, I find this very disappointing. I think the aesthetic make up of the building is very important. I do not feel a developer should be able to makes aesthetic changes, such as color, without a public hearing. In my opinion, the color of the façade of the building can determine ho...

The city packet for your reading pleasure: http://www.minneapolismn.gov/www/groups/public/@cped/documents/webcontent/wcmsp-201737.pdf I’m very confused. This seems to be the last time 333 Hennepin went before the planning commission, why don’t the newest renderings, or the building, look aesthetica...

Re: Blue Line (Hiawatha LRT)
Meandering back to the topic of the blue line: I agree with what many others have said on the site. I would actually be OK with illuminating one of the two Southloop stations. It feels like they’re trying to make the Bloomington central station area into a bedroom community. The only people there ar...

I didn’t know the new transit station had a retail spot in it, that’s awesome!

Re: Raymond Station area developments
My only worry about the Devolopments in this area is the smell. I go over to state services for the blind about a block away. Its not horrible, you would get used to it if you live there, but I am concerned about any health impacts from breathing it in.

Re: 1400 Park Avenue
That’s really strange. Why didn’t they have to go back to the planning commission with the aesthetic changes? Rant: It really bothers me that developers don’t have to stick to the aesthetic proposals that go before the planning commission. In my opinion, if you tell the city that this is what the bu...

Re: Blue Line (Hiawatha LRT)
I have been paying close attention to the development around Bloomington Central station and American Blvd., Station; does anyone know where I can find, or would be able to find for me, information regarding average daily boarding is at these stations? They just started construction on the second de...

That’s what I was wondering. That’s the last thing I saw go before the planning commission. Like I said, I believe that was over two years ago.squrtis wrote:Is this still the plan?

Re: 1400 Park Avenue
From what I saw, the plans for this went before the planning commission more than two years ago, doesn’t that mean that the plans must be approved again?

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings
Official ridership numbers are up. They more or less continue the trend of the last couple years. The region's investments in high-capacity, high-frequency, congestion-light service are paying off with consistent, year-over-year ridership gains. However, local bus ridership is falling which is bein...

Re: Red Line (Cedar Avenue BRT)
I hope the development kicks off. I feel that the redline is much more friendly for riders Now that the Cedargrove station is built. Makes the ride from Apple Valley to the mall the Marica much shorter. It’s probably too early, but does anyone have any ridership statistics since the new Cedar Grove ...

Re: Red Line (Cedar Avenue BRT)
I have been taking the redline to see a client in Apple Valley every Friday. I’m curious if anyone on the form has any information about the station areas surrounding 140th, 147th, and Apple Valley transit center? The land-use surrounding the stations seems very poorly planned out. The majority of t...

Totally understand what you are saying. I would imagine there would be some mitigation that they could. As long as the stuff people are breathing in is not toxic.

Re: Saint Paul - General Topics
I guess after you live there for awhile you would not notice it anymore. Personally, I would not move somewhere new if the area around it had a strange smell. If they want to attract people though, that smell may act as a Deterrent. Anyone know, According to the small area plans for the area, how ma...

Re: Saint Paul - General Topics
Can’t wait to see this proposal! I walked by that area often when I go to State services for the Blind. I always think to myself that it’s such a shame to see so many empty, or under used, lots along university. Slightly unrelated question: does anyone know what that strange smell is at the station ...
