Re: St. Anthony Village

Huh? "The St. Anthony neighborhood of Minneapolis offers excellent schools and a peaceful location to raise a family or meet new friends." -From their site. If I'm not mistaken such a neighborhood doesn't even exist within Minneapolis. (There is a St Anthony East and West near the Mississippi

Be great to grab a new employer from the 'burbs or out of state for that space.

I thought it was interesting that they put up new signs with parking information. When this and Eleven are being constructed it'll be great is someone could get a photo from across the river or somewhere of both building going up.

Re: Minneapolis Parking Meters

Many of the parishioners at my place of worship come from the suburbs so transit does very little for them. Be a lot of work for a family to get from Roseville to Downtown Minneapolis on a Sunday morning.

Re: Minneapolis Parking Meters

It'll be great if they could eliminate or lower the fees during non-event Sundays. Transit is quite sketchy on Sundays I've tried it. I attend a Downtown church and in the middle of winter the car is the best way to get there. Let's face it biking doesn't work for 97% of people during the winter. (L...

Re: Bike Share

MPR has a story on it, which doesn't seem to answer all the questions. So did St Paul choose Lime as their preferred, and then they backed out of the bikes leaving St Paul with nothing? The article seems to also imply somehow that this is related to Lyft buying Motivate. This seems to be a blow to t...

There is a story in the Strib on this now. They had a picture of the road with all of the bridges...which made me wonder what the state of the bridges are?

Personally, part of me would rather these stay empty until the next boom and we get something more significant built. Too many yawn buildings recently. Have DID put a temporary park or etc here.

The retail is a must...the nearest retail to this corner is what a couple blocks away? This area is still forlorn.

Anyone know what is going on at HERC? There is a crane up today and it appears they're doing some sort of upgrade.

Re: Transit Crime

What does the forum think about having the transit equivalent of the DID Downtown Mpls helpers on the trains? They can clean up, given directions, and be a set of eyes to work with the transit police? They'll be cheaper than extra officers. Also for high crime areas why don't they just hire security...

Re: Elliot Park

This area is quiet during the week. It seems that HCMC staff and North Central Students don't make their way there. I also find it hard to complain about additional affordable housing given the need. If I was part of the decision making I'll make the same decision given their mission as a faith base...

I saw that and thought it was really cool. My second thought was what were my chances of getting hurt if I tried it out .This should be super popular given the location near the Cedar Lake Trail.

The crane is up...I'm thinking their mission is to provide affordable housing so they're trying to maximize that. More retail would be nice here and overall around the stadium however.

I know we had a lot of approvals and proposals last Fall. At the same time it has been a long time since we've seen a proposal for a notable building. The forum is a bit more exciting when we have something juicy like that to analyze.

The crane is up for this. Someone should count all the cranes in the East Town neighborhood. Four or so with Thrivent and at least 3 more scattered.

I guess a noticed has been placed on the door of the W. Broadway CVS. The closures may be widespread perhaps.
