Re: Minneapolis Parking Meters

LRT & BRT has 10 minute headways. Does that include weekends? Politically, people will learn to fight for better transit if parking is expensive & inconvenient—just as today people fight for better parking when transit is expensive & inconvenient. [emoji848] LRT and BRT do have 10 minute frequencie...

I’d say a top priority should be to make NextTrip actually work. Fix the “real time” screens so that they use gps data instead of schedules.
Metro Transit is currently working on that as well.

Re: Riverview Corridor Streetcar

Broken record here, but this will be a good project the more closely it resembles the existing METRO LRT service, including... - Dedicated at-grade ROW - Eliminating the redundant stations at Homer, W 5th/W 6th - Further separating the Maynard and Davern stations or consolidating into one station -...

Strib article on the subject: http://www.startribune.com/maplewood-considers-bridge-over-94-to-increase-access-to-gold-line-bus-route/505575742/ Bonus points to 3M for having "security concerns" about connecting a hundred suburban houses to their basically-private bus stop. I don't get it either. It seems like - despite massive funding shortfalls - MT is doing things better every year. My thought and others I have talked to, they needed a scapegoat for the homeless on the train. Which if true, is despicable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk https://uploads.tapatalk-...

Re: E Line Arterial BRT

https://twitter.com/TCTRU/status/1083490246287867909 I wonder what this means for the E Line? Also, the Future Projects page towards the end mentions a new limited stop service to Maplewood Mall. Kinda looks like the route 54 extension to me. Right? The city is preventing it currently, but I think ...

This is clearly a bluff... one that the city needs to call. There's no way RBC gets this far along in the process with the knowledge that this was a low probability approval. At this point, what does it hurt them to talk tough to try to get it? 100% agree. Everyone involved knows the rules and long...
