Re: C Line - Penn Avenue North Rapid Bus

Do we know if the C Line will open in March or June yet? (It has to be one of those as it must coordinate with a quarterly service "pick"). The A Line opened in June 2016 (after initially being planned to open in Dec. 2015). The website says: "Major construction on Penn Avenue is complete. There is...

Correct, but one system branded METRO because they provide the same type of service.

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings

I hope that map isn't a final design, since it looks kinda rough. Pretty great seeing all of those routes on the official metro map, though! I was just looking at the map again. The Rush Line is incorrect. It should connect to the Green Line around Regions. I think this map makes it clear that the ...

Yeah. He's a technocrat who's very focused on and good at giant infrastructure projects, to the point of ignoring smaller, more effective infrastructure projects. Not great for a county commissioner, nearly perfect for the regional giant infrastructure authority

Downtown routing chosen by advisory committee, but will still be studying ending at Union Depot. Glad this is going in the right direction.

Counterpoint: McLaughlin has worked harder to advance transit in the state of Minnesota than anybody else, and his knowledge and institutional memory are critical. Get Walz in charge and let him be chair of the Met Council when Alene Tchourumoff steps down. District 4 deserves someone who will push...

Re: Riverview Corridor Streetcar

they can't call it light rail as it's mixed traffic. As much as I'd love to put "old" blue line LRT vehicles and label it as "street car line" since it's in a car traffic lane, however seems more logical to just use buses and combine it with the Red line. Even if that means the Red line looses the ...

Re: E Line ABRT

My speculation is also on the France-Excelsior-Lake routing. With the E Line serving France with a high-frequency service, #6 can be truncated to become a "shuttle" btwn Uptown TC and Southdale via Xerxes. (maybe extend to downtown during peak hours, depending on service hour availability) Shorter ...

Anyone have any information on how many people get on south of Southdale? Do all of the branches extend south of Southdale Center? I know for sure is that for 6K does, because my fiancé takes that to work in the morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk South of Southdale 6 service is only hourly.

Re: Hennepin County Commissioner Districts 2,3,4 (2018)

Conley is the better choice over McLaughlin.

-She will champion aBRT.
-Unseat someone who has been on the board forever.
-Advocate for her actual district instead of for two light rail lines that don't even go in her district.
-Ending Cash Bail
