I agree that leaving it open for car traffic is good thing. A lot of people drive in to visit Eat Street. It's inconvenient to come off 35W to Lake then meander around several side streets. They are under new ownership. Closed for remodeling. Re-opening TBA.Dunn Bros. at 34th and Hennepin is now closed. It had been there a long time. So sad.

I like the idea of allowing the subdividing of lots. It's practical. One could build a small house for a young couple or senior. They get the amenities of the neighborhood without the larger lot. It would be more palatable to the neighborhood.
