Re: Minneapolis 2040 Comprehensive Plan

Does this mean we can turn the tables and sue every other city in the metro for not doing an environmental review and harming the environment by not allowing MORE density?
sounds like a good idea to me

Re: West Lake Apartments - 3012 Excelsior Blvd

I'd be supportive of additional parkland on that lot if Bde Maka Ska Parkway got rerouted to connect to Market Plaza instead of Dean Parkway. That way the park would actually meet the lake.

Looking back, the Tierney Bldg. was never part of the project. https://vermiliondevelopment.com/develo ... e-project/
Ok I like this project even more now that I just realized it's only replacing 2 auto repair shops.

I REALLY hope they just didn't want to shell out the extra dough for a colored rendering, and aren't planning on building a monotone gray box

Re: Big Daddy's BBQ redevelopment

So they just demolished the 2 buildings where Big Daddy's was. Apparently they won't be reopening in the new building once it's complete, but there might be a worker-owned co-op BBQ place there in it's place.

Re: MSP to Rochester High Speed Rail

I hope something is worked out whether it's on existing rail or along 52. It seems to make too much sense to connect Rochester and MSP. How great is 52 during a snowstorm? I totaled a 6 month old car on 52 in a snowstorm. It was also full of all of my boyfriend's worldly belongings because i was he...

And I never thought I would be in the apparent majority by saying that this is definitely one of my favorite buildings along University.
The "Music & Book Landfill" building at Griggs and University with the art deco clocktower is by far my favorite, but this one isn't terrible

Huh? There would be outrage about any private (and most public) development in any neighborhood park, and rightly so. The analogy doesn't hold at all.
