Re: Mozaic (all phases)
I haven't taken any pictures, but there are cool details all over the project now. Interesting bases to all the columns that reach the sidewalk etc etc. Nice project for sure.

I think it will be a beautiful building, I hope the new developments along Washington help it connect into the skyline a little bit. It's going to be very isolated over there.

If you're playing computer games on 35 dollar internet and confused why the speeds aren't good, maybe you don't fundamentally understand how internet and games works lol. If you're confusing speed and packet/data loss, maybe you don't fundamentally understand how internet and games works lol. Also ...

Re: Fiber Internet and TV Services, Cord Cutting
I mean yeah percentages aren't a great way to measure the cost of something that was 20 percent of the cost of the next comparable competitor. Expanding companies need capital to expand and they are doing an amazing job of providing high speed internet for a reasonable price in Minneapolis which giv...

Big rate hike? It's 15 dollars a month - For those customers who did have a cheaper level but for the majority of their customers, myself included we were already paying 50 a month for 100mbps, and we're now getting a free upgrade to 300mbps. I can't complain. I've always had great service from usi,...

Re: Gateway Tower (RBC/Four Seasons) - 37 stories - 503'
This will directly block the remaining viewshed left of ING and the Grain Belt sign. I don't argue for views much, but this is all too wrong. The skyways ruin ALL view-sheds in Minneapolis. One of their greatest downfalls. I would disagree with that, I think it adds to the view. It's an architectur...

Re: Stadium Parking Ramp Development Site
I think the stone cornice looks nice and adds texture, but agree that one course of it looks silly, it would be every 4 floors or at least repeated at the very top of the stone section. Retail is a necessity here. It's crazy to imagine a site so close to the stadium and lining a major new park not t...

Re: Gateway Tower (RBC/Four Seasons) - 37 stories - 503'
This building is just so mismatched and inelegant. Such clunky layers and lack of architectural definition. The mixed uses are amazing and I can't wait for this area to be brought to life, you would just think it could be done with a little more finesse. I'm also feeling weird about the corner of he...

Re: Soccer Stadium and Snelling-Midway Development
I personally think it would be healthier, cooler and more organic for the fringes of the site to develop first, get some residential mixed use going on around the site, get 20k fans there on a regular basis and then try to build the prime corner site once there is more demand and vision for the area.

That's pretty extreme density. I also would like to have seen a third tower, however I'm very pleased by the second one. After being extremely underwhelmed by the first tower I'm happy the second one seems pretty put together even if it's not super remarkable.

Ryan companies does not own that, the rail company does. Why is a large chunk of the Ford Rail Yard not developed in those renderings? Saving it for green space, a park, or something else (besides a trail and maybe transitway)?

My partner said it was a Minneapolis Frankenstein Wells Fargo, Rand Tower, Carlyle Plus a little pinnacle at the falls to boot. That window reminds me so much of the towers across the river. That arched window makes it look cyclops-y

I like maintaining single family along the river parkways and the way density increases and steps up away from the river. They could have only increased density by 200 units so I feel like they did a pretty good job with the housing. Why would the affordable (which they're promising 20 percent of un...

It's far more refined than the Carlyle. I like that it's also going for less of a square look than Carlyle it's faces aren't all identical which is nice. The huge arched window on top is strangely out of place or proportion, though, kinda weird.

I can't imagine any land owner doesn't see the value of redeveloping this plot. It's such an amazing location.
