Re: TMBR - 100 3rd Ave N

To change the topic off of parking... any chance the TMBR is supposed to be pronounced as Timber? Could they be planning to work wood into the construction or exterior?

Re: MSP Airport

I've never caught a connecting flight at MSP (obviously), but I've always thought it compared very well to others in the US. I can't think of any domestic airports that made me think they were better than MSP. I'm glad we have all of the gates behind security. Coming home from Fort Myers recently, ...

Re: Roseville / Rosedale - General Topics

I was going to say, what is the plan for AMC parking? Basically that whole parking lot is eliminated. Of course, that lot was always really poorly circulated, but seems like they'd need a new ramp or something. if you look at the pdf east parking would have 4 levels with 1300 spots The West Parking...

How realistic is this? Hope and a dream or will the residential get built and the brochure is to fill out the retail?

Is there a downtown St Paul map showing, Green, Gold, Rush (Purple), and Riverview routes? I'm not sure I've seen it all on a map together.

Re: Rush Line Corridor BRT

Yeah, a little bit of a walk to the actual downtown and you have to cross the highway. Why are they not going with the original decided location? The White Bear Lake meeting is posted online if you'd like to see the full discussion. Options C, E, and F were deemed to have operational difficulties b...

Re: Rush Line Corridor BRT

Last night the WBL City Council voted to recommend the 7th Street and Washington Avenue site as the locally preferred stop for "Downtown WBL". Discussed that it gives the option to extend the downtown to the northwest and has close proximity to the new Lakeshore Players Theatre and White Bear Center...

Re: Bloomington Central Station & South Loop Development

The campus would consist of multiple buildings, city documents show. An initial phase of construction scheduled for 2020 would include 185,000 square feet of space including “high bay” industrial structures, 56,000 square feet of production space, a “robot automated warehouse,” logistics space and ...

Re: Rush Line Corridor BRT

That option is terrible! Easily 5-6th place in my rankings. My ranks were 1) the original USBank site 2) 4th and Division. The funny thing is that many people were complaining about the original proposed site because of the ramp... what they don’t realize is that if the station is not close to downt...

Re: City Center

Noticed that leasing brochure lists the top of the parking garage as a "rooftop opportunity" and there's a faint outline of a building. Are they suggesting you could actually build on to that side? Or just use the rooftop as an outdoor space? What is the "Roof Canopy" and "Rooftop Sports Lounge" on...

2019-2020 MN Legislative Session / Budget / Bonding

Walz is announcing his budget today. I haven't reviewed it yet, but something that popped out that he tweeted: "My budget proposes a 20 cent increase in the gas tax to keep Minnesotans safe, help businesses and farmers get goods to market, and ensure nothing like the I-35 bridge collapse happens aga...

I think they did a pilot a while back. It was interesting. We loved seeing St Louis Park. Could be a hit if the couple is likeable. Fixer Upper was a huge success because people love Chip and Jo.

I vote for the Brooklyn’s to join but new city is named Park Center. (Like the high school) it would honor the previous cities and avoid any negative connotation of Brooklyn.

Re: Minneapolis Skyway System

I'm so glad I revived this thread today  Like many others, I think we should embrace the skyways. I hope as the downtown residential population grows the skyway hours and access do too. IMO they should be open 24-7-365. When I was down here for the boat show on Sunday, people were parking in ma...

Re: We have 30 Days of Biking; why not 30 Days of Transit?

I’ve found that my Go To Card and google maps having transit has increased my comfort with transit. I suggest using both to everyone. The hardest part can be the last mile.
