Re: O'Gara's Development - 164 Snelling Ave N

I took this more as a "the bar/restaurant was struggling before the close and we've decided it's too competitive to get back in". I am sure that the State Fair business and owning this new building is lucrative enough for them to be comfortable.

Re: B Line Lake St Rapid Bus, Midtown Rail Transit

Sorry I was thinking of the E line, that line down Hennepin should connect to westend. I guess B line is going to be extended to St. Paul downtown. https://metrocouncil.org/Council-Meetings/Committees/Transportation-Committee/2019/October-28,-2019/Info-2_-B-Line-Update.aspx I like that Idea, I don'...

Re: B Line Lake St Rapid Bus, Midtown Rail Transit

I am also betting on this service becoming a very successful route. No doubt. Regarding the ridership mismatch between west and east of Hiawatha Ave, we should probably revisit the Midtown Corridor Streetcar/LRT soon, ideally along with the implementation of B Line. Guess we just need more people t...

Re: Public Transit News / Current Events (MN only)

Trying to decide the best place to post this... As the 8th street construction starts to wrap up, I’ve been thinking that either they should have A) reduced it one more lane to make it two lanes wide for the full stretch B) planned for 2 car lanes, and 1 dedicated bus lane. For the construction it w...

Re: Mall of America Transit Station

I’m just disappointed that they didn’t go all the way back to the drawing board and move it to the north side. I hate how that stretch from 28th to MOA is pointlessly bendy.

Re: Rush Line Corridor BRT

On the Rush Line trip to Richmond, VA, a big question came up from a Metro Transit staff person about whether or not an articulated bus can get three doors close enough to the platform to make level boarding functional. It seems that only one of the doors (front or middle) actually needs to be with...

This quick swing sure makes the White Bear Lake lawsuit seem ill advised. Yet it still drags on even though the lake is above average (OHW) this year.

Re: Future Cars: Electric and Autonomous Vehicles

The last mile was mentioned at the meeting as a future hope for this type of project. Given the WBL pilot project is just that a “pilot” and serving elderly and disabled, there will always be a co-pilot with the vehicle. Also the Newtrax rep mentioned that they see these as easing the hiring in the ...

Will they make transit only lanes for this line? I could see a big benefit of true transit only lanes on University/4th and Henn. Not only for the E Line but all of the other local and express routes using the same L shape route.

The route runs between some senior housing and the ymca. The picture included looks like the A.V. from the super bowl. The route would run o...

Would there have to be some sort of barrier between the trails and the tracks? Is that extra space for the potential need for emergency assistance? I feel like the freight rail would want something.
