Re: Green Line Extension - Southwest LRT

Sorry for confusion, yeah I meant opening from Target Field to 21st (or Bryn Mawr/Penn Station HAH!). It would add the Farmers market to the Green line which seems like a no-brainer. "Just" use regular Green Line trains. I'd imagine you'd have to add capacity to maintain the same frequency...

Re: Green Line Extension - Southwest LRT

Bryn Mawr station could benefit from a couple things:
  • Reverse the direction of the 394 pedestrian crossing so that the southern end is by the station.
  • Put a freaking sidewalk on Wayzata Boulevard

Re: Public Transit News / Current Events (MN only)

Why have a separate card at all? I love that in NYC you just use your credit card, and it automatically handles passes after a certain number of trips per week. Ugh, except they don't have this system for the JFK Air Train even though it takes NY subway fare cards... Had to buy a pass in November.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis - News & General Topics

Having been in the Operations Center a couple times (decades ago at this point) I can say the basement levels are absolutely much larger than what you see above ground. They were formerly home to, among other things, a massive supercomputer (might have been more than one, I'm not sure) that ran ban...

Thanks for the pics!
The outside of the building still looks nice up close. There are some nice details like the bay windows that aren't as apparent from far away.

Well I say this as a downtown resident and now former downtown worker (my job has been converted to permanently remote), there are going to be huge challenges.

Is there data on where the downtown population works?
