Re: TCF Bank Building Redevelopment

Looks like the only change they are making is to make it more difficult to get to the skyway level by removing the escalators. Oh, and filling it with IKEA furniture.

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium

At least the pedestrian bridge is being used. There were literally thousands of people using it Sunday night. I actually got caught on it walking west while everyone else was walking east. I was just there to bear witness.

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium

Can someone clear something up for me? It's my understanding that the only tax that is being used to help pay for the stadium in an "inventory tax on cigarettes" and a gambling tax. Am I completely off on this? Because I've seen lots of criticisms of the stadium making it sound like every person in ...

Re: Blue Line (Hiawatha LRT)

Took the train to Target Field last night (first time since I moved into my house 1.5 blocks from 46th St Station). So much noise and vibration on the downtown segment. It was really, really unpleasant. Like so bad that I would be embarrassed if I was showing a visitor around or trying to sell some...

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)

From Penn or Van White? Penn. This is going to be the most expensive stop since it will require an elevator/bridge to be built so it might be the first to go if they need to cut costs. However, it's got the support of N. Mpls community leaders since it is thought to be the best option for service f...

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)

I don't know if this forum has polls but I'm interested if anyone currently on the site would use this line whether it be for work, school or fun. I would be one using it for school. Nice to go home to mom and dad for a home cooked meal Yes I would. I live in Bryn Mawr and would love to be able to ...

Re: Tower crane count

I would guess that we'll soon have the best view of tower crane's ever in Minneapolis. Imagine driving west on 94 and seeing...

-4 cranes for the stadium
-2 cranes for Wells Fargo
-1 crane for the Ryan Apartment tower
-1 crane for Latitude 45

And this is just the east side of downtown!
