Does anyone else think of transformers when seeing the “Ironclad” name? Lol

According to the Charlotte Observer, the Twin Cities are the 4th largest banking center by total assets of banks headquartered in a metro area :-)

Re: D Line - Chicago-Fremont/Emerson Rapid Bus

I posted this in the politics forum as well. Happy Monday! Since I didn't know much about my commissioner and district, I wanted to include a link to "find your commissioner" http://www16.co.hennepin.mn.us/commissioner/ and a current map of the Hennepin country districts https://www.hennepin.us/-/me...

Re: Hennepin County Commissioner Districts 2,3,4 (2018)

If you live in Hennepin County District 4, Angela Conley is running against Peter Mclaughlin, and actively supports Hennepin county funding the gap for D Line. I would vote for her over Peter if you live there, she will be a strong supporter of both LRT and a more robust bus system. This was posted...

Re: U.S. Highway 52

Quick side question:
The article references lids in Duluth, St Paul, and Edina. I know of Duluth, but where are the latter two? Does the author means the lids that are planned for those cities?

Re: Loring Park Neighborhood

I would definitely support that! However, I keep discovering new flags, so we may need an infinite number of crosswalks lol. Maybe a rotating system of flags?

Re: Loring Park Neighborhood

I actually think it would be nice to have every crosswalk to Loring Park be painted like that. At least, all the ones on the east side of the park, since that is somewhat of our city’s historic gay village. :-)

Re: Twin Cities' National and Global Image

It could be singular if thought of as a pair instead of as two separate entities. Like, “that pair of shoes has green lashes.” #grammarisfun lol 🤓

https://www.biztimes.com/2018/ideas/government-politics/second-streetcar-arrives-in-milwaukee/ The second streetcar arrived in Milwaukee. I really like the branding for this. “The Hop,” to me, implies it’s easy to get on and off, and good for short trips, and is all a nice punny reference to this c...

Yeah. I’m not too impressed with the critique either lol. It’s totally ok if Amazon doesn’t want to move here, but that reason seems pretty thin.

Re: Street, Road and Highway Projects

Legit. Potentionally random question, but does MDOT differentiate between the core 7 counties and the greater 16 counties of the metro area? I’m just thinking out loud, but maybe the 9 counties that aren’t in the core, count as greater Minnesota in the eyes?

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)

At least in the Twin Cities, I can understand the feeling that we had stronger cooperate citizenship in the past. Not only the Met Council, but the Daytona Company started the 5% club, and a lot of local companies participated. The 5% club required that companies give 5% of their pretax profits back...
