Re: Major League Soccer in Minnesota
TCF would be a great place to play, but I think they have an agreement with the neighborhood as to a certain number of events a year?

Damn, who knew I was so damn luxurious. LPM has the appliance set I put in my house here in Standish. My sink is an undermount though. Should've dropped it in I guess.

Build a new theater at Calhoun Square? I love the Lagoon and indies. We have plenty of other theaters for blockbusters.

Re: LRT Disappointments
Yeah, the on-time performance was pretty bad this winter. Even on "nice" days. I also had a couple times where a train was supposedly delayed 10-15 minutes and it ended up being a half hour. I think it would be best to overestimate the delay. I would've taken a bus in both cases had I had a realisti...

Re: Longfellow Station - (3801 Hiawatha Avenue)
I believe they dug down some on the southern 2/3 of the building if I remember correctly. I don't mind the look of the building. Living on the other side of Hiawatha from this one, I don't see a lot of activity coming from there unfortunately. I was really looking forward to some walkable retail com...

Re: Blue Line (Hiawatha LRT)
Just an observation from Google maps... I had no idea (had never really looked) that you could park so close to the stations along this line, free of hourly restrictions or anything. I knew about the free parking on Franklin, and the underutilized Lake St P&R, but hadn't really ever looked around 3...

Re: Minneapolis Fiber
In this MinnPost article they made it sound like there wouldn't be anymore expansion, so I'm glad to hear that they're looking into city wide fiber. I had USI Wireless for a while but the signal wasn't very reliable, even with the outdoor antenna they hooked up. As said above, they have excellent cu...

Re: Vacant Historic Theaters in Uptown/LynLake
Live music would be great. I miss the Uptown Bar. The bros probably would've ruined it anyway.
