Ho boy that sure was a meeting.

Pro tip, if you're going to organize a community meeting that's going to culminate on a community "vote" and you advertise it as such, you should maybe get together and decide what it is you're actually going to vote on before hand.

Too much black, but i think they're trying to hide some mass, which is a trick most women know.
Hey, that comment is really not okay. Don’t say shit like that.

Re: Sons of Norway block redevelopment - 1455 Lake St W

Oh yay, they’re bringing back that horrendous 70’s fake mansard roof thing and adding an ugly turret to boot. :( Also, it should really step down to meet the human-scale older buildings around it. Going to look real tacky if built like this.

Did you take that from the evil protected bike lane?
I took it from my evil blue 2015 Honda Fit named Gordon.

Sooooo the rendering on that page shows the new stadium surrounded by a sea of parking lots.

...Is that the plan now?

Re: Mozaic (all phases)

I was by the property the other day, and I noticed that the lot is pretty much torn up. I can't remember, has this been through the planning commission yet? Do they need any more approvals before starting construction? Looks like crews are working again. This time it looks like real construction. T...

No housing as part of the project? That would be a huge missed opportunity.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Topics & Development Map

The next DMNA meeting agenda has a few interesting tidbits: -Aeon is proposing a 6-story, 100-unit (72 affordable) building with one level of underground parking (of course) at 920 3rd St. Presumably they've got a couple other lots they're assembling, since 920 3rd is one of the angled old RR ROW l...

Re: 420 E Hennepin Ave

Up to 15 stories now. The architect on the project is Doran, surprisingly. They had to add height to accomodate a 3 story parking podium that will sit on top of the 1st floor. They're building 1 story below ground but said they could go down to 3. The developer doesn't believe the city when they te...

Re: Mortenson / USBank site - 333 Hennepin Ave E (~28 stories / 280 units)

What exactly happened to convince Shamrock to change the design of the Legacy from a rectangular block to something a little more interesting, and will it work on Mortenson? The city. The city asked them to break up the massing in order to sign off on the design. That said, it's still a really offe...

Re: Mozaic (all phases)

I work in Mozaic west. An intraoffice memo reads: "Ackerberg has notified us they are set to start their development of the MoZaic East building, beginning next week. As such, the MoZaic surface parking lot will be permanently closing on April 16th."

That's all I know.
