Re: Minneapolis Energy Municipalization

My understanding is that if ONE Utility is owned, rent is 4x the number on the dice which landed the player on the utility, but if BOTH Utilities are owned, rent is 10x the amount shown on the dice. And the mortgage value would be approximately $75.

Re: Calhoun Square

I think I just realized how amazing a City Target would be on the vacant lot next to Calhoun Square. Parking ramp connected too so Target wouldn't have to build any parking, just validate. I love that idea. And think of the drinking game we could play over NIMBYs complaining about increased traffic!

Re: Star Tribune Blocks

really, i sorta liked monikor "the yard". personally find sandy colvin roy an aloof dunderhead herself. (from personal experience) but naming after HHH would be cool, also. As Sandy Colvin Roy herself, I resent that remark. First off, Mullen, use spell check. Second, GRAB YOUR POPCORN EVERYONE THIS...

Re: Uptown Projects Map

^^^IMO, the vacant parcel next to Calhoun Square is way, way overdue for development. It's by far the worst gap in the urban fabric and feel of Uptown. It's such a great place for a hotel, residential, and/or retail mix. It really needs a more proactive owner with some vision and enthusiasm to get ...

Re: Lime - (2900 Lyndale Avenue South)

Disappointed it looks exactly like the last render. This is going to look dated in a hurry. It's not like it was supposed to be completely overhauled... I don't know how it could be that disappointing... lol Sure it is. First design was disappointing (way too busy) and the second looks exactly like...

Re: Riverside Plaza

the towers themselves are fine-- i think the weirdness of the design simply comes from the distance from the core of downtown. if they were surrounded by a mix of other types of highrises, it wouldnt look so out of place. but it does. the neighborhood itself is a really unique spot in america. and i...
