Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News

Maybe they closed because people like me who walk thru there enough still did not know it existed in the US Bank Plaza. I have not a clue where it is even at. I know of a few other places, but not Broadway Pizza. Must have been on the main floor level. Are you thinking of US Bancorp Center? Broadwa...

Re: Minneapolis Skyway System

I toured lat45 and their only connection to the skyway requires a residential key from inside the building. From the skyway side there is a callbox similar to what you find at most apartments' front entries.

Re: Minneapolis Skyway System

Does anyone know if there are plans to add skyway-level retail in the Haff Ramp/Public Safety center area to cater to the new 5000+ Wells Fargo employees? I walk through that stretch of the skyway daily and it's a hike from the new connection to anything meaningful. I know I got tired of the restaur...

Doh. That's why you don't just read the headlines kids.

It's not like Wells Fargo just forgot about this agreement, though. I'd like to hear their side of this.

Re: Downtown East - Wells Fargo / Radisson Red / Edition Apt

This is hilarious! I can't see how WF stands a chance of keeping them up, but there's nothing I'd enjoy more than seeing them prevail and “ adversely affect U.S. Bank Stadium’s iconic image ” with their " photo bomb "! I'm curious why you think the Vikings will win so easily? Also I just want to sa...

Exactly, conditions had to be right -- it was only audible on quiet nights during the summer.

I can corroborate this. I heard them on several occasions late at night when I lived near the St Kate's campus. (The bells at least, not the announcements.)

xandrex wrote:Nice building. But you'd think they'd want some form of service/retail in the building. Pretty much every building downtown has a coffee shop of some kind, which is pretty useful.
It will be connected to the Wells Fargo building at the skyway level which will have retail.

Re: Major League Soccer Stadium

The Forsyth Barr and Westpac stadiums on that page are both good (Westpac's in my home town). Forsyth Barr is interesting because it's "the world's only stadium featuring a natural grass pitch under a fully fixed roof." Worth investigating for a soccer stadium in Minnesota. Interesting. That didn't...

You're making it sound like Minneapolis is completely dark at night...

I think having lit signs on buildings would hardly make much of a difference.

Barclays Center cost about the same as US Bank Stadium to build (Over $1 billion)
