Re: RS Eden Emanuel - (822 Third Street South)

Work is progressing here nicely although its is a very hard spot to get a look at. No pictures but I did see some concrete pouring, possibly working on the foundation. The existing building has basically been entirely gutted and boarded up for renovation.

Re: The Elysian - (711 4th Street Southeast)

This site is a very big hole now. There was a lot of excavation work going on today. Sorry for no pictures, but it is after just a hole in the ground....

Re: MSP Airport

Pretty sure through Delta -- if I recall correctly, their ticket counters already say Air France and KLM in addition to Delta. Just so long as they add their name to the signs over 494 and on the Light Rail lol. It may just be me but that's always something I look at when visiting other cities. Whe...

Yea this definitely needs to be posted. These are absolutely awesome ideas. I reaaaaaaally hope this gets done. It would help take away the feeling that the lakes are connected to uptown by an expressway.

View from the park across the pond. I Think this fits right in scale wise. From what I've seen up close it looks like this will fit in great with the stone facade.

I'd agree with that- Can't see this as being anymore than a realtor's dream, much like 394
I'm confused, did you change his quote? He said 21st St Station, not Green Line as a whole.

Re: MSP Airport

It will be interesting how it works with light rail in the middle. Yea it will be the first one in the country to involve light rail (assuming someone else doesn't build one first). The only thing I can think of is that all traffic, except for right turns, would have to stop while light rail went by...

Re: AtWater Building

Great news for Duluth! I remember reading back in the day it was believed Duluth would be larger than Chicago. I actually like the design and am glad retail is going to be included. Love the idea of rooftop deck. Does the new Sheraton have any rooftop bar/restaurant overlooking Lake Superior? I don...

Re: Southwest LRT

Well its in the Governors hands now. I strongly encourage everyone who believes in this project to send out emails/call the Governor and let him know our opinons. I'm not much of a wordsmith but I've quoted what I sent him. If anyone who's good with words wants to share what they've wrote that'd be ...

Re: Southwest LRT

I don't understand why this would score so low. They must be basing it solely off of the short term effects for the engineering work. Otherwise I don't see why this would be so low for jobs created and regional impact. Oh well maybe in 15 years we'll finally have a 3 line rail system to take us to a...

This project scored at the top for the northern region. Assuming the decisions go by this report I'd say this project is pretty likely.

Pier B Resort Set To Break Ground By KBJR News 1 DULUTH,MN---A vacant cement terminal may seem like that last place to house a resort and condominiums, but developers are planning to revitalize the old LaFarge cement plant, also known as Pier B. Yea I figured it would be Allegiant. They usually serve the small market spring break and vacation crowds. Hopefully things will go well and they'll start up service from Saint Cloud to Las Vegas and Orlando Sanford. As for the Chicago service my guess would be United, considering they already do th...

yes it does matter how much Ice cream they sell at this particular location because they only have one other location in St. Paul. Re: Izzy's Ice Cream Factory

It's not solely an ice cream shop though. It is their headquarters and a factory at which they will be producing their product for sale across a much broader area. Its not like the livelihood of the building or company depend on how much ice cream they sell at this particular location. I wouldn't wo...

You might be right beykite, but I think many of those jobs are going to be at the old northwest maintenance facility at the airport. Other possible contenders could be Enbridge or possibly Maurices (I think Maurices headquarters I last heard is almost full and possibly spread out...I could be wrong...

Re: New Building proposed for Downtown Duluth

We should find out in September if this qualifies for the state funding. From what I understand $8 million is being sought for from the state, and then the city would match another $8 million or so. Also the bonding money is solely for the underground parking structure, not the building itself. Anot...
