Re: StoneBridge (2nd Street South & 11th Avenue South)

Seeing this while crossing the 35W or 94 bridges really gets me excited. It's going to nicely extend the skyline out through the Mill District. I hope they post some pictures of the views the units will have. Should be some great views of both the river and skyline which are more or less guaranteed ...

Re: House of Hanson Site (14th Avenue SE & 5th Street SE)

So this is called 5th Street Flats? I like it. Its a great design, I think it fits in nicely. I'm sure they'll still be mad about the "scale" and what not but I think it looks great. And thats all that matters right??

Re: (Outer) Suburbs open to transit tax

I think its no coincidence that the Green Line stops a few miles short of Carver County, and I don't think that went unnoticed. Stirb commenters aren't the brightest in the bunch, its nice to hear that at least the elected officials seem to be somewhat on board with it. Like they pointed out, most t...

Re: Hennepin Avenue

I know it sounds corny but I really like those way finding signs that have the distances to all the other cities in the world and what direction they're in. That'd be cool to see somewhere on Hennepin, and it'd be cheap. Maybe you could just do Minnesota cities or something to make it more unique. A...

Re: Minneapolis: Highest Rape Rate in America?

Yea but clearly its what God intended to happen, so I mean can we really say they didn't consent? God took it on his behalf to consent for them so therefore it wasn't really rape. By the way guys I'm accepting donations for my Mississippi senate run if anyone is interested. What I would hope the rea...

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)

I'm not so sure I would axe Mitchell, maybe make it a little smaller though. I think it will be a good reliever to Southwest Station. It will be able to catch a lot of people coming from the west (Chanhassen, Chaska) without overcrowding SW station, which we know will be overcrowded as it already is...

One month till occupancy. I really like this building. This area is going to have a bit of a head start when it comes to redevelopment brought on by SW LRT.

Re: Nic on Fifth - (455 Nicollet Mall)

Both this crane and the crane from Stonebridge make quiet an impression on the 35W bridge. These two buildings will really impact the skyline from that angle, especially if this has some nice lighting up top.

Re: MSP Airport

Spirit will be starting seasonal service to Denver in April. That brings the total number of airlines flying non-stop to DEN up to 5. Delta, United, Southwest, Frontier and now Spirit. Should make flying out to Colorado even cheaper :D Edit: Forgot to mention they will also start service to Dallas (...

Lets turn ourselves into some development or lobbying group and make that our headquarters. We could push local governments toward smart urban development and endorse pro transit politicians. ;-)
