Re: Samatar Crossing (former 5th Street exit / bridge over I-94)

Thanks! Didn't realize it had its own thread.

I did see the city's page with a vague start date of "2016." Just didn't know if anyone who frequents or lives over there has noticed any progress.

Re: Street, Road and Highway Projects

Now that the new 7th St. exit ramp from WB 94 is open for business, does anyone have any update on when the old 5th St. Ramp will connect to and allow access from the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood? Haven't been over there and have been curious. Thanks for any info!

Re: Stadium Parking Ramp Development Site

Oh, wow. Good news. I really expected more of a hotel/apartment/condo development at least as a part of it with how well the park is turning out and people wanting to live close by. Looking forward to renderings!

Re: DTE: Wells Fargo, Radisson Red, Edition Apts & Millwright Building

Does anyone know what the deal is with the scaffolding on the west tower at the top?

Also, looks like outdoor patios on the top of those buildings for the workers. That's pretty sweet.

Re: Denver

But, MN pioneered that idea and implemented it with the Met Council decades ago.. Denver is ahead because of dedicated $$ put into that system. We need that, and the legislature is the one putting the brakes on it at this very moment. I should say, one party in one House..

Again, I never said it was a main reason for companies leaving. I think my two posts have been pretty clear. It is a reason for companies not staying. If you are happy with other companies acquiring MN companies and taking the HQ to places where it is cheaper...then there is no problem. No, it isn'...

You're right! And it did kinda look like an original building with an addition later. Maybe original had a basement.

Re: Soccer Stadium and Snelling-Midway Development

The NIMBYism isn't affecting the debate at the Capitol at all. It is more the politics of the House Republicans wanting a large tax cut (with this in that bill) and the Democrats reluctance to allow a tax cut in order to get a stadium. To democrats, it could be better to have no tax bill at all, thu...

Informational only hearing.. We won't know if this passes or not until the very end of session. No tax bill, and this could be in trouble. Very unlikely this moves on its own.
