Re: Downtown Minneapolis Office Market

Great news about Select Comfort with 900 employees moving and a 211,000 square foot 15 year lease according to Startribune. As far as prudential goes I wonder if losing their helipad would be a deal breaker? I think HCMC's is the only one in downtown.

Re: Prospect Park - General Topics

The only buildings still standing in that picture EOst posted other than the Harris building are the 2 on the far left and the one bottom right. My understanding is that the 2 on the left haven't been demolished yet only because they want the city to declare them blight first and the building bottom...

Re: Stadium Village Tower - 600 Washington Ave SE (284' - 26 Stories)

That's what I thought as well but there is a wrecking review application submitted on September 6 shown for these properties on the cities current applications map. That is not to say they will have problems getting the permit.

Glad to hear they are starting though I think they still need to get permission to demolish the buildings from the HPC.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Topics & Development Map

I think it might be the Ironclad development the Minneapolis property info website lists a master land use application for the properties that ironclad is suppose to occupy with the same applicant name.

Re: RISE at Prospect Park - 2929 University Ave SE

Has the habitable floor count actually changed? The plans showed to the planning commission last December had 13 with the roof access/mechanical space + roof screen making it technically 15. There was a star tribune article on September 10th that stated it was 13 stories and had the same apartment c...

Re: 729 Washington Av N

They are kind of hard to see but there are multi-pane windows on the 3rd street side of the ramp as well as the the first bay on the 8th ave side. I really like the office building but am a bit confused by the parking ramp. The renderings so it as all grey but the earlier drawings seem to say the fi...

Re: Washington Square buildings (20, 100, 111 Washington Ave S)

I wonder if it would be possible to rotate 20 Washington 90 degrees and push it up against Marquette. That would would at least allow some development on that block and also allow for the possibility of running Nicollet through to a reconnected 2nd street.

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)

The votes are weighted for 2016-2020 as follows: Anoka County: 10 Dakota County:13 Hennepin County: 47 Ramsey County:18 Washington County: 7 Metropolitan council: 5 The weighting is done based on population and sales tax revenue with the met council getting 5 votes and one seat. I am not sure what h...

In the document they say they plan to demolish it (Page 2).
