Re: Federal Reserve Riverfront Parking Ramp
I also don't get why they don't have them slope the site down more to meet the river road instead of keeping the wall the way it is now. It would really connect that side of the neighborhood to the river again.

Re: Midtown Corridor Rail & Lake Street aBRT (B Line)
I call BS on fiber optics. There is absolutely no reason the system needs the bandwidth fiber supplies. If they're taking the opportunity to lay fiber for other services, that's one thing, but aBRT is *not* driving the laying of fiber. Whoever said that is either terribly misinformed or has some ag...

Re: Midtown Corridor Rail & Lake Street aBRT (B Line)
Big cost of this is the road construction part, on the C line Minneapolis and Hennepin county wanted all of Penn street reconstructed at the same time (including street lights and stoplights). A lot of the streets in Minneapolis have old street car rails underneath which are difficult and costly to ...

Love this idea. Just some other apps to add to the list would be the Transit App or CityMapper. Citymapper doesnt work in the twin cities but both of these apps live track the buses giving you more up to date timing and allow for more confidence in reaching your bus on time.

Re: C Line - Penn Avenue North Rapid Bus
The information boards require a lot of work as well as installing and testing of all the signal priority systems. On top of that the electric buses and their charging stations have yet to start being delivered and installed.

Re: Orange Line (35W BRT) & Lake St Transit Access Project
Does anyone know if they've started procuring the actual buses yet? Hopefully they can get some experience with the full electric buses on the C Line before they commit to diesels for this. The electric buses for the C line are to start being delivered in the next month or so. The charging systems ...

Re: E Line ABRT
I think with all the new housing going up along University Ave. like the General Mills site as well as connecting the housing over there to the U of M with a hopefully more than only one bus every hour they really should extend it to cover the whole route of the 6. It would allow for more options fo...

Re: Bike Share
These stations are a nice way to control the additions of dockless bikes into our system. That said I think now that they are only $80 or so business or areas should be able to submit applications for hubs outside of their businesses. I am also very interested in how this will work with it not being...

Re: Bike Share
You are right I misinterpreted what they meant by agreement. But Minneapolis and St. Paul are choosing to give exclusive contracts. Also forgot to add that Uber is a major investor in Lime and plans to add the ability for you to rent the bikes through the main Uber app as well. I like your idea abou...

Re: Bike Share
I think the problem I now have is that NRMN is actually operated by a for profit business (Motivate) and that for profit business was just bought by Lyft. So basically Minneapolis and St Paul or Edina or Golden Valley these cities are giving sole operating rights to for profit companies. On top of t...
