Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings

I can’t find the article, but I read that Tim Walz wants to open one bus line per year for the next 10 years due in part to raising the motor vehicle sales tax. A few of the lines include 169 BRT between Shakopee and Hopkins or Minneapolis, Red Line South extension, Orange Line south extension, Hig...

Re: Arterial Bus Rapid Transit Corridors

If I'm reading this correctly, the Snelling and University intersection could soon be home to Green, A, AND B lines? It's just a question of if this is the end of the B line or if it continues on to St Paul. This intersection and surrounding areas needs some serious upgrades!

Re: Allianz Field and Snelling-Midway Development

A second park and ride would probably be a good idea too. State Fair grounds make sense, but they’re not very convenient from a lot of places. TCF Bank Stadium would work well as a second location. I’ve also not yet heard of any private options. Surly posted about being a pregame option. They had a...

I wonder why they sold. I thought they were still over 50% of building even with the new buildings over by the stadium. Wells Fargo didn't own the building. Quoting myself... this project is underway. This feels like a big deal! Article from January about the sale of the site and Lexington Landing name. With project details. https://finance-commerce.com/2019/01/developer-buys-st-paul-school-site/ Did the street alignment get finalized? https://twitter.c...

I read that Sibley Plaza is getting both an Aldi and a Planet Fitness. Hoping to fill back up with no remodel.

At one point there was talk of interlining Rush and Riverview. But I suppose that’s dead now that Rush is BRT and Riverview is streetcar.

I’d say a top priority should be to make NextTrip actually work. Fix the “real time” screens so that they use gps data instead of schedules.

To change the topic off of parking... any chance the TMBR is supposed to be pronounced as Timber? Could they be planning to work wood into the construction or exterior?

Re: MSP Airport

I've never caught a connecting flight at MSP (obviously), but I've always thought it compared very well to others in the US. I can't think of any domestic airports that made me think they were better than MSP. I'm glad we have all of the gates behind security. Coming home from Fort Myers recently, ...

Re: Roseville / Rosedale - General Topics

I was going to say, what is the plan for AMC parking? Basically that whole parking lot is eliminated. Of course, that lot was always really poorly circulated, but seems like they'd need a new ramp or something. if you look at the pdf east parking would have 4 levels with 1300 spots The West Parking...

Is there a downtown St Paul map showing, Green, Gold, Rush (Purple), and Riverview routes? I'm not sure I've seen it all on a map together.

Yeah, a little bit of a walk to the actual downtown and you have to cross the highway. Why are they not going with the original decided location? The White Bear Lake meeting is posted online if you'd like to see the full discussion. Options C, E, and F were deemed to have operational difficulties b...

The campus would consist of multiple buildings, city documents show. An initial phase of construction scheduled for 2020 would include 185,000 square feet of space including “high bay” industrial structures, 56,000 square feet of production space, a “robot automated warehouse,” logistics space and ...

Re: Rush Line Corridor BRT

That option is terrible! Easily 5-6th place in my rankings. My ranks were 1) the original USBank site 2) 4th and Division. The funny thing is that many people were complaining about the original proposed site because of the ramp... what they don’t realize is that if the station is not close to downt...
