Re: Super Talls
Yikes just mapped OKC, they have literal empty grass lots 4 blocks from that tower, not even parking lots, just empty lots. To me its just kind of bizarre to build such a massive thing when there is so much empty space just a couple hundred feet away.

Re: Vikings Stadium
One of their reasons is that MARTA doesn't stop at Turner Field. While they are moving 5 miles from ANY mass transit. Oiy. Not to mention the stadium is 17 years old!!

Yuck. And with each new building uptown gets worse. Nothing against the buildings themselves, just the clientele they attract.

Re: São Paulo
Haha they don't, wow. Why did they even bother getting twincites.com if only St. Paul exists?St. Paul not having a 'Minneapolis Avenue' so perfectly illustrates the chip on the shoulder that St. Paul has. Almost as perfectly as Pioneer Press / TwinCities.com not having a Minneapolis section.

Re: Mall of America - Bloomington
Yeah it sounds like Bloomington wanted to replace the bridge and the state didn't. So the state made a deal with the city to throw some cash their way if they refurbished instead of replace, which is what is going to happen now. Or that's how it looks to me.

Re: Dinkytown not Megatown/Save Dinkytown
As a senior at the U right now, I don't know a soul (including myself) who either went to the U or is going still there that has ever eaten there or even considered it, and being a business in a college catering district I think that might be a problem.

It may well be tangential to the KMart on Nicollet Ave, but the chairman of Sears seems to be an interesting fellow to say the least. Not sure if his aggressive and combative business conduct would be hurtful or helpful in getting the right of way restored. http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2013...

Honestly it would be nice, kept out of the elements and not a target for thieves. So even if it was squeezed in somewhere, its better than lugging it up stairs or risking it on the street.

Re: Surly Brewery - (Malcolm Avenue & 5th Street SE)
Its like a block off of University, how could it be hard to find? If 280 is too obscure for some they could get off from 35 then drive a bit extra on University, a huge main street going through both Minneapolis and St.Paul. Also Malcolm didn't used to be signaled but I'm pretty sure it was added wi...

Re: Bicycle Infrastructure
They just did the striping like a month or so ago and no they left the other one on the left, leading to much chaos going over 35 with confused bikes and cars all over the road. I don't know if they plan on moving the other bike lane or not but right now its pretty terrible.

But looking at google maps, there is literally 3 huge ramps surrounding this building plus a giant empty lot across the street. This just seems needless.
