This type of thing is what keeps the suburban hate fires burning. Pretty disgusting videos.

Any other details or pics in the locked article? Non-illegal summary would be appreciated.

Re: North Loop Green - Hines - 350 N 5th St(?) - 36 stories / ~400'(?)

I was an intern at Metro Transit in '13 and the Ford Center was the only building between where I got off the bus at the 5th Street garage and walked to Heywood that still exists.

Crazy.

Prefer this new version of 5th haha

Re: Washington and Portland Mixed Use - 22 stories

The TIF plan report does have what appears to be an updated rendering of the tower. I actually really liked the previous design so the new look is a bit disappointing in my opinion. Agreed, it's a minor adjustment, but I do prefer the darker material featured on the west side from the previous rend...

226 pages of comments, and somewhere between 10-15 comments in support: http://minneapolismn.gov/www/groups/public/@cped/documents/webcontent/wcmsp-219617.pdf This thing needs to die. Can we please all look at page 63 where it says that during the parking lot survey there were 80 & 86 AVAILABLE...

Re: Minneapolis Density and Population Growth (500k, etc)

Saying Columbus is bigger than Minneapolis in this context is not wrong but it not a serious comment and disqualifies them as a serious person. As someone who lived in Minneapolis and currently lives in Columbus, this drives me crazy. 1) Everyone here thinks Minneapolis is small, frigid, or has bar...

Re: 800 Washington Ave S (Guthrie Ramp liner development: Reloaded)

Yeah, and a project like this doesn't seem to be pancake stacked floor plans, likely meaning a ton of new work for the drawing set. 13/14 story is the "next step" above 6 so I'm feeling confident in it happening. The numbers tend to work in this range and justify the switch from Type 3a co...

Re: D Line - Chicago-Fremont/Emerson Rapid Bus

You're right. Still, you could design the street section in such a way that this wasn't the case. And I suspect that it's a detail that even those who've been paying attention may not have fully understood, and one that might make a lot of people (present company of course excluded) upset when they...

Re: Southside - General Topics

My understanding (which may be wrong!) is that new apartment buildings have to have 20% of their units accessible, with the additional caveat that there has to be as much variety in accessible units as there is in the whole building. So, for example, you can't have a building with 2 accessible two-...

Good. I'd love for a developer to take some underutilized land and build a row of beautiful triplexes for people to drool over and then realize the world is not ending.

Also, the triplex issue was so cOnTrOvErSiAl that so many awesome steps forward in the plan snuck on by without much scrutiny.

Do you use it?
Seeing as I was relocated to Columbus OH as my profile is displaying at you - obviously the answer is no.

But an 1/8th of a block can be trees. Softens a downtown.
