In between pedal assist bikes, and EVs, we have electric motorcycles. https://www.theverge.com/2018/2/25/17047918/zero-ds-zf6-5-electric-motorcylce-ride Kind of niche at this point, the reviewer noted their silence felt pretty dangerous when no one hear you coming and could dart out. You can always...

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings

So three derailments from the Blue Line, and one derailment from the Green Line. Is that a good safety record?
Yes, because it is my understanding that none of the derailments was operator error. If they were than I would be concerned.

I saw the "C" section. The seats are the same as the older Type 2.

Re: Blue Line (Hiawatha LRT)

They do run one car on the Blue Line late at night on the weekends. I always notice it on the bridge over Lake St. since it stands out so much. Now i'm curious, does the driver have to keep switching from end to end each run? Or does he get to drive backwards one run? Doubt they would have two driv...

Re: Blue Line (Hiawatha LRT)

New LRV must have arrived. Metro Transit bought 3 or 4 LRVs for the Super Bowl. I do not believe they are the Type 3.

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings

This won't actually happen (though I wish it did), Thursday would be the time for Metro Transit to seriously consider 4-5 car consists. Open the doors of the first 3 cars and once those are packed move the train up to the last car(s) and repeat. I believe they did this with the Northstar Line runni...
