Re: University of Minnesota
Ha I would also like to know the authors methodology and what makes an attractive campus. I also like that the photo used to portray the U have very little brutalist architecture in it. haha

Re: Public Schools
Let's start a brainstorm session. What is something people find to be a problem with the Minneapolis public school system and how would they fix it?

To be fair David, I would argue ALL elementary schools look like complete choas, lol All those kids in a confined area, the amount of energy they burn through could probably power Vegas for years. haha

Since we are mentioning customer transportation modes, I felt this article from the Atlantic cities was applicable.

Re: Forum Etiquette
Hey folks, please remember to play nice. I feel like I've read a couple unnecessarily snarky posts the seem more like attacks on someone than anything else. Just remember that tone is not always clear online and that if you have a personal annoyance with someone, send them an IM. This last bit is ju...

Re: MSP Airport
Hi everyone. Did we decide the construction going on next the the Humphrey Terminal is terminal expansion? That is what is appears to be but whenever I look for news about it, all I can pull up is information about 34th Ave at I-494. If anyone has any articles about this, that would be awesome.

Re: Northstar
Update on construction on the Northstar line. The article also states that ridership for August 2013 was a monthly record at 82,500 riders. In addition, year-to-date ridership on the whole line is up 16% over the same period in 2012. I think this is brilliant! http://finance-commerce.com/2013/09/pro...

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
^^^ I agree. I would like the 21st Ave Station to stay if possible. Despite being so close to downtown, Kenwood is pretty lacking in terms of bus coverage. This station could serve as an anchor to an elongated Route 2, or even more frequent Route 25 in the area.

I read that article but did not see any indication of moving headquarters. I understand the assumption can be made, but did the article explicitly state that the HQ was moving to Grand Rapids? Maybe Spartan Stores Inc. is now based here

If I am thinking of the right location, such a building would also serve as a nice barrier to the prison. Nothing against it, I could just see people not wanting to hang out across the street from prison cells.
