Is there any traffic study showing the origins/destinations of the traffic on 26th and 28th? I suspect that with Midtown LRT (through-routed to Eden Prairies and/or West End) and some strategically placed park and rides, we could reduce the traffic volume considerably. I am so excited for this Trader Joe's. Only having to bike/drive 2 miles compared to having to go all the way over into St Paul or Edina is going to be absolute perfection. I can't wait :D I love biking by and seeing the progress on the way to work every day.

Exactly...we live in the NL and don't really shop at most of the stores in the area. How about a CVS or Walgreens? Shoot we wouldn't even mind some fast food in the area lol. I believe they are moving this week, if they haven't already moved. That sounds about right. The phone store in that strip got torn out this week, and the interior of the Rainbow did as well. I wouldn't be surprised if that whole thing is empty by mid May. All that's left is just the tobacco store....

According to Strib journalist Nicole Norfleet, all current tenants have found new locations, including Hop Wong. I will have to get over there soon and ask where they will be moving. Hop Wong is moving over onto Chicago Ave., can't quite remember what cross street. I'll have to double check when I ...
